Trainz, or anyone else know how progress on CD 3 is going?

It's a great dungeon.

I don't want to spoil anything so I will remain vague.

Some of the puzzles are quite ingenious.

I had a lot of fun playing those.

Nice mix of fighting and puzzle solving.

Only thing is that we played it 1-2 level highers than the recommended level so our DM changed some monsters to make them a more appropriate challenge.

A-HA! Thanks Mark, looks great!

Your welcome. I think we just keep getting better and better at putting these together. We've already begun the process of editing CD 04 and Trainz will likely be starting up a thread for CD 05 contributions as soon as he irons out a few details on his end. I think Trainz would agree that our editing team of MonkeyDragon, Enkhidu, Creamsteak and MerakSpeilman (of course!), and especially tarchon have done a great job of building this CD to be the best one yet. They had a lot of great contributions to work with, mind you, but we really wanted to push the quality of this one right up to the top, from the backstory, through the contributions, to the editing, the cartography, and the cover art and layout, and I think people will find that it ranks right up there with the best of adventures that they would find anywhere. Let me know what you think, please. :)

Aaron.

Do you mean Rebecca Potter, the wonderful cover artist? :)

CD3 looks great!

Looking forward to seeing how CD4 turns out (first one I had a chance to contribute to). I dont read the General Discussion thread much, can someone post here when the CD5 project begins (or atleast a hint about when to watch for it)?

Looking back on it, I think we could have used a bit more of a predetermined framework to work within. Just looking at the overview of the history of the place makes my head hurt! :D

I think we did quite a bit better in CD04 in that respect, because the various writers tried to keep things a bit more coherent. But I do think it would be a good idea for CD 05 to sketch a bit more of an outline of the "plot" ahead of time.

Just imagine writing it. In the end, I think it did have a feeling of authenticity though, like the rather byzantine histories of Castel Sant' Angelo, the Hagia Sophia, the Vatican, the Tower of London, etc.

Great !

I hope many will have fun running this adventure in their campaign. I will second Mark in saying that our editors blew my mind away.

As Yig mentioned above, when I ran it, my players were to high, so I replaced the spectre Damnation with a dread wraith, and the caretaker by a bone devil.

All in all, much fun was had by all !
