(OOC: Tandi thinks that her Tumbling plan is much more likely to get her killed than it is to succeed (Tumbling through an enemy's squares at one-half speed is DC 25 + 2 for each additional enemy--ouch!). Also, the party is at a longer range from the fight--100 feet + the number of feet between each character and the front of the formation in Cade's diagram, so she needs to use a Run action to even make it up to the combatants this round. I will definitely commend Tandi's plan as extremely noble, though :))
ooc: Tandi said 'between' not 'through'. Is this not possible? And, um, maybe I'm wrong, but I thought we'd use my diagram (a few people seemed to like it, at least)

Somac: Male Human Bbn 3

Somac feels a rush of power as he increases dramatically in size and strength. He looks at A'Jardin with something like awe. His shaman back home never knew any tricks like this!

Not being very smart himself, Somac relies on others to lead the group. Taking his cue from Anton, he decides to attack one of the big grey beasts. He is reluctant to get too close, though, and lumbers up only to within about 50 feet or so, drawing his bow as he moves. Then he shoots an arrow at one of the beasts and lets out a great bellow in hopes of scaring them.

I was not aware of the range at which we started... I did say in between them, attempting of course to avoid AoOs as much as possible. I suppose for the first round then Tandi will at least close so she can attempt to do as she said, depending on the outcome of the rest of the party's actions in this round.

OOC: FYI, Rystil was going on vacation over the weekend, not sure if he'll be around tonight.

Anton takes some steps forward and lets an arrow fly as everyone starts to attack.

Attack +4, Damage d8+2

You will stay that size for about a minute Somac, so make use of it while you can.

OOC: more good news for Somac, the longbow now deals 2d6 damage instead of 1d8, though the to-hit bonus does drop by two due to the dex and size penalties.

(OOC: OK, I'm back home now! And, umm...Vbulletin hates me when it comes to drawing formations, so I drew a rough sketch on MSPaint)

"You know, I'm willin ta go 'long with whatever, but I think we're better off attakin the Hobgoblins. I think I'd trust those grey things more." Cade says as he prepairs to charge.
