"Alton and I kin cover a lot of ground, n probably do it safer din most. But I still think a distraction might help. I think they're just ignoring her, though seems strange how she got here."

OOC: I have ride by attack, so I can double move on a charge, and no AoA from the guy I charge, but getting the child might still be a trick.

Well, I was hoping for whomever was closest, but... I suppose a gray render. They look less like they'd turn on us after the battle. A hobgoblin might actually be grateful. And if both would turn on us, the Hobgoblins would be easier to kill afterwards. In theory. Not that we really have a chance here.

"Maybe if we attack the gray things, the hobgoblins will assist us afterwards." Anton points his arrow at a big gray thing, hoping it'll be an easier target. "Use caution, Cade."

"Ifn ya think that's the thing to do. What are those gray things? Not sure I'd trust the Hobgoblins..."

Cade will prepair to charge into combat, but will wait for the rest of his friends to react.

(OOC: Initiative Time!
Anton 11 + 3 = 14
Cade 17 + 3 = 20
Somac 9 + 6 = 15
Scun 1 + 2 = 3
Tandi 15 + 7 = 22
Daggumit 20 + 1 = 21
A'jardin 12 + 5 = 17
Rillian 16 + 3 = 19)

When Cade goes, Anton will shoot (ready an action), and yell to try to distract the gray render -- oh, and I'll assume I know very basic information about them or was my Knowledge check not high enough for that?

"Those creatures -- I do not know much about them, but it seems they could easily kill all of us. With the help of the hobgoblins, though, I believe we do have a chance. Only do not let them attack you." Anton gives a half-smirk.

Edit: Actually, their names weren't included in the knowledge check, so I'll asumme I don't know them.

"Got it" Cade says to Anton

OOC: Initiative or course order? :p Reordered because I could.

Cade will lower his lance and charge screaming out "Death to the gray beasts" in goblin, either one of the big gray things, preferably in a way where he can safely continue on without exposing himself. (+6 to hit (including charge), 1d6+3, x2 for charging on a mount, 20x2 crit)

With ride by attack, I will not provoke an AoO from the creature I charge.

Edit: Given new information, I will still ride out, double move to get within 20 feet and charging distance. Looks like it might take an extra round to get into range. I also will not scream this round as mentioned earlier.

Tandi had been enjoying the last few days with her new friends. Though she kept to herself most of the time, they still made sure to include her in everything. She had considered keeping a journal of her trip, but it would have to wait. Especiall since she neglected to purchase such things as one would need to write. All that was far from her mind now however.

A pair of huge gray monsters were fighting with the goblinoids known as hobgoblins. Tandi had never seen a hobgoblin up close before, but she was more curious about the big gray things she had never even heard of. What most caught her eye was the child in the middle of it all. Quickly looking at all of her friends, she smiles and says, "I'll distract them. Keep me covered, please."

Before they can reply, Tandi literally leaps into the air, bounding and dodging in between the hobgoblins and their monstrous enemy. The only thing going through her mind is that child's safety.

Tandi has a Tumble check of +9 and she is going to use it, hopefully to good use, to get to the child.

A'jardin chants and weaves his hands through the air and tosses a pinch of grey dust in Somac's direction. Somac immediately grows from his already impressive height to a height of twelve and a half feet.

OOC: Somac gains a +2 size bonus to strength, -2 size penalty to dex, -1 penalty to attack and damage, +4 size bonus to grappling. Space and reach become 10', and greataxe damage becomes 3d6.

In summary, AC becomes 13, Touch 10, flatfooted 11
(btw, there's an error on your character sheet, Flatfooted Ac should be 13)
Attack with Greataxe is at +6 and deals 3d6+4 damage, and it now has reach.
Reflex save also drops to +2.
Grapple bonus is +10, and unarmed strike/grapple deals 1d4+3 damage.

(OOC: Tandi thinks that her Tumbling plan is much more likely to get her killed than it is to succeed (Tumbling through an enemy's squares at one-half speed is DC 25 + 2 for each additional enemy--ouch!). Also, the party is at a longer range from the fight--100 feet + the number of feet between each character and the front of the formation in Cade's diagram, so she needs to use a Run action to even make it up to the combatants this round. I will definitely commend Tandi's plan as extremely noble, though :))

ooc: which combatants are closer to us?

Scun's plan for the first few rounds is:
1. move (draw shortspear), set spear vs. charge
2. move up, set spear
repeat, following the other fighter types up in a support role.
