NaNoWriMo 2005 - Who's in?

Subject says it all: Who's going to be participating in this year's NaNoWriMo?

I am crazy enough to have signed up, along with my wife (which basically means housework won't get done for all of November). I'll be attempting to write a dark urban fantasy novel set in a world which my company will be publishing in 2006, so it serves a double purpose.

If you are participating, post your NaNoWriMo user name so we can buddy up. You can look me up as Highmoon.

Chris Rebman reporting for duty, sir!

I know this is only the first day, but I am surprised by how easy it was to beat the daily requirement (1667, if you dont already know). I'm at 1945 already. And I'm tempted to keep going.

If you read my entry into this season's Ceramic DM, you'll get an idea of the kind of writing I like the best, and I am plotting out a bizarre little sci-fi tale about an ordinary man, who suddenly finds out he's responsible for preventing the biggest war this galaxy has ever seen.

What's your NaNo username, Rodrigo?

By the way, here's an avatar-friendly image of the 'NaNoWriMo 2005 Participant" image (see my avatar).

Let's all make it our avatar for November. :)

I'm in baby!

Of course, I'm actually using NaNoWriMo to FINISH a novel that already has 23,000 words, so I'm not really eligible. But still, I'm enjoying the pep talk emails and the feeling of comraderie as we slag through our own personal writing hell.

On the other hand, I have a day job that keeps me late sometimes along with a bunch of social stuff that is going to make my weekends highly unproductive. So we'll see how I do. My goal is to hit 75,000 words by the end of the month, which should finish the novel.

My user name is Talien (I know, you're surprised).

I'll log in again tonight with an update on NaNoWriMo and my blog as well. GO WRITERS GO!

Count me in. I've been waiting all October for this with petrific trepedation. No, I would never use that phrase in a novel. ;)

Wow, I havn't changed my avatar in over two years since I joined. Feels strange.

Stormdragon present (and no accounting for).

Is it the first already? I guess I know what I'll be doing after work tonight. Oh, well. Sleep's overrated, anyway.

BTW, did everyone outline their stories before writing, or are you going on the fly?
