The AT-AT has arrived and it's huge...

Cergorach

The Laughing One
So a couple of months ago the AT-AT appeared on the preorder list i get from my distributer, so my first reaction was "Ohhh... I want one! No wait a minute i want two! Devinately two! Maybe three..." So that devolved in "Others probably want two as well, probably going to be popular, so i better over order a bit..." and finally "Maybe i can reconstruct the movie... How many would i need... *drool*". I ended up ordering dozen, o today i expected my shipment of Underdark miniatures and suprise suprise, twelve HUGE AT-ATs, and i mean huge! 34cm tall and 40cm long. If i knew they would be this big i wouldn't have ordered this many. But it looks sweet on the tabletop.

The base has a grid on it, it has a huge data card and it costs 'only' 200 points.

I'll try to get a picture up shortly (if my new MDA Pro can make a decent picture of it).

No, wait.. I'm not allowed a car, unless it's made of industrial steel and there's nothing withing it's operating radius i can brake... *grins evily*

Yeah I am thinking of getting one just to have it.
Watching a few on ebay which are going for $34 right now.
Now I have to figure out how to get one of these to Eberron ;)

How stable is it? Does it feel like it will tip over?
It's stable allright, but then again it's not made of the 'rubber' plastic the AT-ST is made of. It's made of the less bendy kind of plastic, that has it's advantages, but if you drop this of the table chances will be that it'll shatter or break before it bends. If you don't mind i won't test that. ;-) The guns and pointy bits are of the 'rubber' plastic so those will have a higher survival chance. Tipping it over involves a lot of work, it'll move before it's tip-over-bar...

I've had mine for two weeks and it is sweet! Seriously, it is a must own to any Star Wars even if you don't play the game. If things go according to plan, I'll have a review posted later today on my site of it.
