And, as far as Rogue's Gallery thread goes, I had asked everyone to start a new thread and put their PC in it. That way I can bookmark each thread and not have to do a bunch of scrolling in one thread.
I'll put the towns in her background. As for the performers, I was writing it from her perspective, which is that they all had redeaming qualities, which is what she tends to look for. They may have been pretty unsavory, but she was their money ticket, so she would have been hands off. I'd kind of like her to be fairly innocent (Granted, through her own chosen ignorance), than not. I can tweek the background to fit that. Of course, i was also mirroring the book quite a bit, only diverging as to what happened after the thugs were killed (In the book, he blindfolds her to keep her from seeing the blood, and brings her back to the circus, where eventualy they fall in love before they are forced to part, but that part wouldn't fit well)

Yeah, I hate that you need to take so many performs, but she needed those 3, particularly with some of the Dances she learned with the Gypsies (One of which is probably best described as about as erotic as you can get while remaining fully clothed, called I believe the Tanana)

The stuff not filled in on the top right of her sheet is all non-issues. She doesn't have DR, Spell failure, spell resistance, or such. I'll remove them if need be.

Not a big fan of starting a new character thread just for myself, but I'll get one started. Unfortunately I realy can't use it well for the other games, because they have their own sheets. I'll probably just have pointers and such.

Songdragon - Obviously, you've been approved, but one way to have dealt with the racial HD would have been to simply gain them as levels till after 4th, when you could enter a class. That's what they do with Savage species. Particularly since LA and Racial HD are both used to balance things out. However, however the GM wants to work it, I'm fine with it :)

Well, it's not like starting a new thread is against the rules. :D You can start a new thread for me, and then keep a copy in your own thread where all your other characters are. Also if you could just fill it out for completeness' sake, that would be awesome.

Gonna rule that Rogues get firearms proficiencies, and that guns are like normal ranged weapons, since they're not really strong enough to punch through good steel yet.

Also -- gonna set the deadline to get characters in, finished, and approved for MONDAY. That means filling out yer whole sheet, posting it in a new Rogue's Gallery thread, and posting the link here so that I may approve it.

MONDAY MONDAY MONDAY for character deadline. :D Man, one of you guys needs to run a PbP so I can get my PC on. I have high hopes for this game.

And, depending on how work looks, I might have to pare down some of the PCs but I may keep a ton in just to keep things going. We'll see. But if I do need to drop some folks I will do it based on how well I think their character would work with the game and how much it seems they'd roleplay with well-thought out character motives, etc. Nothin' personal.

But let's hope I don't have to ditch anyone. :D

You could always run 2 seperate games with 2 different groups if tht works. At the look of it though,you may not get more than 6 in and approved by Monday.

Appearance
Malaci Can often be found in the lab, working on one insane idea of his or another. When seen outside his workshop, his apperence, while groomed, shows the tell-tale signs of his craft. His blond hair is generaly scorced, and the clothes he wears hae an aura fo sulphur and brimstone. His sky blue eyes show his true self though, full of compasion and caring for his fellow man.

Personality
Malaci may have a heart of gold, but he has the common sence of a fly. he can offten be seen trying the same task over and over and over, regaurdless of the damage to the area and himself. But when he finaly gets a task right, it generaly works far above and beond all expectations.
As for his temperment, he is one of the most cool-headed in his field, wich just means that he will not be screaming and shouting as he blows up the latest contraption that has annoyed him.

The oldest son of a minor noble, Malaci was his fathers greatest dissapointment, and his mothers worst nightmare. expected to take his fathers role as a noble, malaci instead showed great intrest in the clockwork and steamwork innovations of the time. And as his father and mother pushed him harder and harder towards polotics, he resisted more and more till on the day of his 21'st birthday, he left his family to seek more formal traning in the engineering arts.

When Malaci finaly found a proper school for his traning, the teachers were greatly suprised. Malaci was a natural with almost everything mechanical. The only things that actualy gave him trouble were the machiens that used magic. of corse Malaci's solution to those machiens was a few, well placed explosives. Barring a few minor incedents, Malaci graduated from the school with high Honors in his class at the age of 24.

From there Malaci traveled for a few months before ending up in Trenchtown, working for a local repair shop. After a few weeks of mindless tedium for malaci, he had the wonderfull idea to open up his own inventions shop. still working for the repair guy and working on his own inventions brought Malaci a great deal of peace, untill one of his projects, a rocket pack, took off on its own. Fortunatly for Malaci he was unharmed, Unfortunatly for Malaci, his rocket pack mannaged to blow right into the local noble's living room, wich just happened to be full of other nobles, and explode. In what seemed a few short seconds, Malaci found himself in prison, under the charge of assaulting the noble whose house his rocket had hit.

In a gush of good will I'm gonna extend the character deadline to WEDNESDAY, that is WEDNESDAY December 7. And now I'll post a little teaser as I do for all my PbPs...

Thick rain washed over Jabber's Finger and drooled through the hundreds of crevices on the zepplin. It bobbed like a fat bee at Trenchtown's sky port, the thaumaturgical engines bolted to the back whirring, drawing the moisture from the air. Lightning stabbed at the metal rods supporting the air docks with idiot glee. The wise stayed indoors.

The lower decks of the vessel were haphazard. Jabber's Finger had previously been a passenger vessel, but the huge, high-pressure boilers and mountains of coal beneath told a story. She was a smuggler, now, designed to haul illegal goods and haul ass in equal measures. A battered leather chair sat near the leering cluster of pressure valves sprouting from the main boiler. It was here Capt. Von Eisenhauer, a balding, portly gnome sat. His hands were carefully bound. He was a known thaumaturge. Bixby did not take chances.

"Finally nabbed you," mused the shaven-headed halfing walking in a slow circut in front of the boilers, "been on the lam for a damn long while, captain."

"It is an honor to be apprehended by the honorable Mr. Bixby," Von Eisenhauer said through a bristly, coal black mustache. He was respectful -- that was a slap in the face.

Pulling a mottled hankerchief from within a jacket pocket, Bixby scrubbed at the dark red lens strapped over his left eye. He took a draw off his cigarillo, hot cinder refracting from that eye-piece. "Just your knowin' who I am shows you run in the wrong circles."

"I was not aware helping out fellow men was a crime, good sir -- a hold full of grains certainly shouldn't attract this notice." Von Eisenhauer kept his words careful; he did not want to give any impressions of attempting a spell.

"Ain't the grain," Bixby spat, the spittle alighting on the running boiler and evaporating in an angry flash, "it's the pistols that was in 'em."

Von Eisenhauer coughed, his breath catching in his throat.

"Now, godspit, we don't need anyone supplyin' Tepoch with a means to cause trouble, do we? 'Sides, odds are they'd all end up dead, anyway. Militia ain't no pushover." Bixby ran a hand over his head, skin rasping in the dim confines of the zepplin's hold. "Treason, too."

"Ah, the inevitable end," Von Eisenhauer gave a nod at Bixby's hip where a battered short blade hung, "at least it will be an honorable one, yes? I have heard that you do not believe in firearms, and we can agree that is a death most undesirable."

Bixby nodded, good eye squinting as he took a long draw off his cigarillo; he exhaled as he spoke, "Sure don't." The crack of a flintlock rang out as an orange pan-flash illuminated a blue-suited militiaman standing in a shadowy corner of the hold. Von Eisenhauer gagged momentarily as his lungs filled with blood, a faint runnel of the stuff trickling past his mustache and from the flowering wound just below his sternum. The ball made a clean tink as it ricohetted off the ship's boiler.

"He does, though," intoned Bixby.

The only things that actualy gave him trouble were the machiens that used magic. of corse Malaci's solution to those machiens was a few, well placed explosives. Barring a few minor incedents, Malaci graduated from the school with high Honors in his class at the age of 24.

From there Malaci traveled for a few months before ending up in Trenchtown, working for a local repair shop. After a few weeks of mindless tedium for malaci, he had the wonderfull idea to open up his own inventions shop. still working for the repair guy and working on his own inventions brought Malaci a great deal of peace, untill one of his projects, a rocket pack, took off on its own. Fortunatly for Malaci he was unharmed, Unfortunatly for Malaci, his rocket pack mannaged to blow right into the local noble's living room, wich just happened to be full of other nobles, and explode. In what seemed a few short seconds, Malaci found himself in prison, under the charge of assaulting the noble whose house his rocket had hit.
