You're right, Slagmortar and Bront. That's one advantage to using IC for die rolling. It keeps the record out there. I errorred in not factoring Juliana's BAB into her grapple check. She still would have failed though. I'll also reduce the grappling damage by 3 points. My setup error was that I left out Juliana's AoO roll. When I redid it, she got a 1, and missed. So I think everything's still OK.
Round 2 (con't)
Beamer sends a pale green beam toward the ogre, striking it in the chest. He then takes a step back. (Ogre's strength reduced by 4)
The fiendish woman thrusts her hand into a small pouch on her belt and withdraws some sort of ball, which she hurls at the party, while shouting something fiendish. The ball hits the floor behind the oge and transforms into a lion! The lion then charges past the ogre and leaps at Eusebius. Eusebius tries to smack it with his chain, and
succeeds, tearing off a chunk of flesh and fur. The great cat leaps
full on the monk, though, rending deeply with its claws and teeth. Eusebius only
barely avoids being pulled into a grapple and raked by the lions rear claws. He pulls back, unsteady on his feet (0 hps)
The woman retreats after having thrown her ball.
Banion manifests and charges a new mindblade and steps back.
Juliana
twists out of the monk's grasp.
