Ring of the Fey Lord (DM:Atanatotatos, Judge:Lord Sessadore)Up:Lorik, etc.

Haruka falls to the ground, losing consciousness from the blood loss and intense pain. Meanwhile, Lorik hits the gnome, and an aura of divine power surrounds the small fey, which seems to attract magically Ikni's sword to its target; despite managing to avoid a blow to a vital spot, the gnome has suffered one too many wounds, and drops dead. Ikni moves immediately to help Haruka and nails the other gnome in its place. The fey disappears from everyone sight, but Heinrich manages to hide from him and shoots a crossbow dart right at the base of his neck, just aiming at where the creature was an instant before. The gnome dies without even knowing what hit him.
The dark fey shouts something: [sblock=Elven]We must take their lives! If the go back like this our Lord will give us to his pets as breakfast!![/sblock]He then moves around Lorik so fast that the warrior is not sure from what direction the knife is coming, but he is lucky, and he moves the shield in such a way that the blow is deflected.

Haruka is indeed unconscious. Sorry for the distractions guys. Lorik and Ikni both hit gnome 3, which actually falls thanks to Lorik's group assult feat. Heinrich, you need a minor action to make a perception check, so no predatory eye this turn. Heinrich kills the gnome anyway. The dark fey misses Lorik.[/sblock]

"If I keep swinging like this, I'll be dicing with Lauto before the dawn." Galinndan curses to himself before calling out to Lorik, "strike him now, Lorik, before he has time to recover."

OOC: If Derien can get Haruka, I'll keep Lorik in the fight.

Derien winces as he watches Haruka fall, but it's fixable. "We give to the sea; the sea gives back. Be well!"

As he's glancing around, looking for the remaining hidden gnome, Derien's attention is caught by the dark fey's Elven speech. He answers in the same tongue: "You want an iron ring, right? SO DO WE! You can't beat us, so save your lives and HELP us!" With this, Derien turns all his borrowed power on the dark fey, enveloping it in a torrent of terrible light.[sblock=Keep the dark fey alive?]I really want to question it. It'd be useful to know how the ring was lost in the first place, who it belongs to (well, the fey lord, duh, but who's he?), why it's so important, why they tried to kill us but not Gord...there's a lot of stuff I want to know. Recall that in 4e you can choose to let your attacks inflict non-lethal damage, that renders targets unconscious but does not kill them, at no penalty.[/sblock][sblock=Actions]Minor action: healing word on Haruka brings her to zero plus her healing surge value plus 6 hit points.

Haruka staggers back to her feat, whispering dryly as she does so. She notices that Derien did not strike to kill, and defers to his wishes. Her fingers splay out, and the coiling tattoos running down her arm appear to tear themselves off her skin and snake out towards her foe.

Minor action: Curse the dark fey.

Standard action: Vampiric embrace against the fey with for non-lethal damage. Hits Will 19 for 14 necrotic damage and 1 untyped damage. If it hits, I gain 8 temp hp.

Derien's power wakes up Haruka and its radiance scorches badly the dark fey. Galinndan's words encourage Lorik, and at his direction, the warrior swings his sword at the dark fey, but misses.
Haruka strikes the dark fey with a spell that robs him of his life force while the enchatress absorbs it. The fey, spent, drops to the ground senseless.
A dart comes out of the trees and hits the unconscious dark fey in the chest. A dying breath comes out of the fey's mouth and a pith-black mist pours out of his wounds, enveloping an blinding Lorik.[sblock=perception 27]gnome 1 is in P11[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]You all seem to be forgetting something; Lorik has Group Assault, a feat from Martial Power which gives allies a +1 bonus to damage against targets that I mark. I marked Gnome 3 via attacking it, which means that Ikni did 6 damage rather than 5, meaning that it died, meaning that everything after that point should be retconned.

If the gnome has as much HP as I think it does.[/sblock]

[sblock=don]I'm confused. I did state in my previous post is dead. Did I read something wrong? It doesn't seem anybody attacked it afterwards...[/sblock]
