Adventure: Redblade's Riches!! (Ozymandias79 judging!)

Quagmire joins the search, particularly interested in small, portable items of value such as might be of interest to adventurers, rather than ship captains who want to sell a cargo. In particular, he wants to make sure they check out the barred room before going back to the Captain.

Dang't pauses a moment as if remembering something, smacks his head, then scrunches his face something powerful. It'd look comical except for the intensifying of the storm around him raising the hair of anyone nearby.

OOC: Using Arcana to detect magic in the region. Arcana 13 won't do it.
 

Girth sat on the floor and chanted a short message of thanks to his Lady. Once again he had survived a potentially fatal encounter and so had his friends.

"Strange it is though" he mumbled, to no one in particular "how friends... disappear! He looked closely at the others. "Maybe others will go 'pop' also. Watch more careful I must."

His musing over he clambered to his feet and joined in the search of the area.
 

[sblock=OOC]I've updated Hrav to level 5 and submitted him for approval. Updated stat block and link to full character sheet below.

Summary of changes:
Level 5 - Add Downward Spiral level 5 daily power, drop level 1 at-will Deft Strike and add level 1 at-will Clever Strike, and add +1 to hit from Living 4th Edition Expertise rules.

Of major note is that Clever Strike allows me to attack with Combat Advantage with only an ally adjacent and able to attack the enemy. Handy for when we can get me and another MMC member next to an enemy but can't manage flanking for some reason. I still would prefer to flank so I can use Piercing Strike vs Reflex (or an encounter/daily), but it's nice to have Clever Strike as an option.[/sblock]

OOC: Sorry about the unannounced silence on my end. Holiday craziness combined with getting ready for a new job that starts in January have kept me away for a few days longer than I expected.

The barred off area remains inaccessible with its lock still intact. Hrav explores the warehouse with some others, but most of the crates they check out seem to be bulk goods and wares instead of smaller more valuable items. As Hrav checks out the far west end of the warehouse near the doors where the Prowler was brought down, Dang't on his heels. He hears a noise suddenly of a sniffing and snuffling on the other side of the doors right where the pool of blood extends underneath them. A moment later, a loud howl issues forth with enough volume to shake the doors on their hinges. A gruff yell from further off seems to answer the howl, and the sound of running feet give away the fact that you will have company again very shortly...

OOC: I need an exact location with grid coordinates from the map for where each of you are. I'll give you a rounds worth of prep time actions/movement.

[sblock=PH8008]Not to look a gift dagger in the mouth, but since Dang't is no longer a chaos sorcerer (he was always designed for storm but had to wait for AP to be approved), the dagger does not benefit him other than its +1 bonus (so it effectively looses 3 levels for Dang't): Storm sorcerers don't benefit from even-odd. Other than the Goblin totem dagger listed on Dang't wish list, if you wanted a level 4 replacement, I might suggest the Stormbiter Warblade as the latest Dragon article on sorcerers seems to suggest to can now you powers with weapon-implement attacks.[/sblock]

Dang't plays around with the shocking dagger, tossing it up and down while he follows the Big Guy. When the howl comes from the door, however, his goblin instincts kick in and with a low Eeep! he dives for cover in the nearby boxes. A growl from Hrav saying Your foot's sticking out, little guy causes him to try harder. This time the bugbear grunts appreciatively. [sblock=OOC]Hope you don't mind the borrowing, Garyh. *Kauldron was just standing there bellowing out more smoke then a chimney on a cold winters night. Ildy watching as the others did there thing. Not being really good at the whole searching and looking around thing. Nor had he any idea as to what they were searching for exactly neither. He stood there for the long moments as they passed getting to know each other member of this so called MMC from there actions and characteristics. As the howl rang out, it shock his consciousness and he looked over to the door then Hrav ring the call to arms. Kauldron grinned under his masked helm and drew his short sword once more. This he knew and knew well. He hustled up next to Hrav, standing next to the big guy and stepping into a fighting stance.*

Let me see what kind of distraction I can give you, Big Hrav.

*He nods to Hrav and hunkers low. Readying himself to fight as well as to blow a cloud of smoke out to help conceal Hravs actions as well as distract anyone foolish enough to step up next to him.*
