Hasifar shifts away and using the state of the bugbear in his advantage, he turns, pointing his dagger at the hobgoblin. Uttering foul words, a ray of pure light shoots from the tip of the weapon, and seers and blinds the goblinoid. "Your destiny is to join the Chaos in death."

And death does come to the Hobgoblin in a spectacular way. Its chest explodes from the ray, blasting bits and pieces of its body across the alleyway and onto the Ogre and Boruuk.



Tirial moves to the other side of the alley, the eladrin beginning to dislike the tightness of the battle, but continues her focus on the ogre. Two more shot ring from her bow, and the arrows are much deadlier this time.

Hitting the Ogre in the neck with the first shot and feeling the healing power of the Silver Flame, Tirial listens to Artemus, spins and puts an arrow in the arm of the Bugbear.



Seeing the Hobgoblin explode and the Ogre fall, the Gnoll retreats to fight another day. Not only does it have a huge head start on Boruuk, but it is also faster and heads down an intersecting road.

To speed this up, I delayed Artemus after Tirial and had Tirial's second shot on the Bugbear since the first killed the Ogre and the Hobgoblin was already dead. Also, I posted the Gnoll's action since it is unlikely that Artemus will interfere with that.

"Surrender beast, or I shall take your soul as well" regardless of his words, Hasifar attempts to kill the orc. He lifts his left arm and with another dark uttered word, releases a torrent of icy wind towards the orc.

Boruuk sees the gnoll flee and despite his disappointment at the coward's retreat, at least it freed him up to go see his allies. The only enemy still standing is the orc with the greataxe. Boruuk smiles as he whispers "Let's show him what a greataxe can do" to his weapon as he charges across the battlefield and swings down the massive weapon.
