[Adventure] Murder Most Foul! (Judge: EvolutionKB)

Knoepf surveys the battle field, then raises his holy symbol and in a commanding voice that vibrates throughout the alley, he states "Behold the power of the silver flame! Let it renew your energy and strength so that you can rid this evil from our world once and for all!" After the last of his words, silver flames burst from his holy symbol like bolts of lightning, zapping health and vigor into his companions.

As his companions are healed, Knoepf staggers to the wall. His actions has sapped almost all of his energy to the point that he can barely stand on his own feat. He leans against the southern wall of the alley. "Fight on my friends...kill them...kill them all...." He then closes his eyes to regain his composure.

Hasifar raise from the ground, grunting. "Ya'll see what I can do..." the peasant's voice slowly booming and becoming dark and baleful, losing it's accent. With a quick stab, Hasifar snares the bugbear with his dagger, just moments before he speaks several words in a strange language. His voice conjures the chaos around him, and channels it into the dagger and into the bugbear. The creature screams in pain holding his head, before exuding a fume of dark glittering dust from his eyes. The small cloud morphs to a face, surveys the battlefield and hurls itself after the greataxe wielding orc, penetrating it's psyche and harming his mind as it did with the bugbear. "Feel the touch of Chaos, let it transform you into stardust!"

The Ogre retreats back the way he came, then spins around with a murderous rage, rushes Tirial and slams her heavily with his club.

At the feeling of the blow, Tirial rolls with the force and tumbles down the alley, away from both the deadly ogre and staff-wielding hobgoblin.

[SBLOCK=@dimsdale]With everyone bloodied, why not starting with Healer's Mercy. It would have healed everyone with a standard action and then, you could have save a healer's word for later and your action point too.

By the way, would your dwarf have been inspired by River, my Shifter? I mean, you even have a light shield, which is an item River was carrying before he got his overhaul for Divine Power.[/SBLOCK]

Artemus stands up and takes advantage of Hasifar to sneak on the bugbear. The bugbear is taken by surprise and feels the the dagger cutting an artery, giving him a flash of pain he can barely endure.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Move: Stands up
Minor: Adaptable Flanker
Standard: Dazing Strike on Bugbear(1d20+13=33, 1d4+2d6+9=18) Critical! (1d6=3) For 28 damages and he is dazed UEoNT[/SBLOCK]

The Orc is bloodied.
The Bugbear is bloodied.

Lots of issues here:

1) Move Action = stand up from prone
Standard Action = Chaos Bolt

In order to shift to G13 this round, Hasifar would need to spend an action point.

2) Using Sorcerous Blade Channeling to channel the Chaos Bolt into a melee attack does not change the power in any way except from range to melee. It does not get the proficiency bonus for the weapon and it does not target AC. It is still an implement power and it still targets Will.

The main benefit of this feat is that the Bugbear does not get an Opportunity Attack for the melee attack (there can be other benefits with other abilities/feats, but that's the main one). Otherwise, the power is identical to using it at range.

So, the attack is +8 and 20 hits vs. Will on the Bugbear (not +11 vs. AC) and still hits in this case, it just does not target AC.

3) The damage rolled on a secondary Chaos Bolt is 1d6+5, not 1d6+9. It does not get the charisma modifier, but it still gets implement and Chaos Power.

Note: It indicates in Chaos Bolt on Hasifar's character sheet that the extra damage is 1D6+2. It should be 1d6+5 (implement + Dex). You should probably correct this to avoid mistakes in the future.

4) Because of Arcane Spellfury, Hasifar is now at +1 to hit the Bugbear and Orc TENT. Please post this type of information in your message when applicable because I probably won't see it.

5) Because of Chaos Burst, Hasifar is +1 AC until the start of his next turn. Again, I typically will not notice this. You have to write it down when it occurs.

6) You rolled a 20 on the attack against the Orc, so that is max damage = 11 + 2d6. You'll need to roll the 2d6. You can also slide the Orc 1 in any direction and knock it prone. Let me know.

I am also ruling that the second attack against the Orc is NOT a range attack. There is an interpretation that the second attack is range since it is beyond melee range of the feat, but I see it as the entire power is now Melee, it just happens to be a melee power where the bolt can fly from one foe to the next. So, the Bugbear does not get an Opportunity Attack for the bolt that hits the Orc.

Obviously, the Judge can overrule me on that. If so, the Bugbear hits Hasifar with an OA for 9. But, I don't think that's how it works.

Yes, this does seem like resource overkill for the same basic gain.

Did you accidently think that Healer's Mercy was a Blast instead of a Burst?

If you want to change your action to be a Healer's Mercy instead of the other 3 action combo, that's fine. Everyone else will gain 16+healing surge points back.

Typically, I do not allow takebacks unless a set of actions is illegal, but this seems like a misreading of the power and a waste of resources. Let me know if you want to change this.

[sblock=OOC] Yeah I was not sure how to proceed with that, just made a lot of assumptions, which were mostly wrong, sorry for that.
Hasifar will not shift then.
Critical damage: 11+2d6(6): 17 How did I missed the cricical I'll never know.
I'll make the changes to the sheet. Will include a ministat sblock too to keep track of those temporal modifiers. [/sblock]
