[Adventure] Murder Most Foul! (Judge: EvolutionKB)

Knoepf here's the painful grunts of Boruuk as he takes damage from the ogre. "Stand tall my friend, I've got your back." He moves to a spot to get a better view of the ogre, clutches his holy symbol and says a prayer. As the words come forth from his lips, the ogre, much to it's dismay begins to glow in a silver light and becomes destracted in the process. "Now Boruuk, give him a taste of your axe and feel the warmth of the silver flame heal your wounds!"

"Belly boy! You and Boruuk hold'm down as we take care of these two (referring to the dragonborn and orc)" Hasifar shouts as he moves north on sqaure and then unleashes a bolt of arcane energy in the direction of the dragonborn.

"You're not the first to tell me that... but I'm still alive. You think you'll have better argument?" Artemus swings his dagger at the dragonborn, getting ready to riposte quickly.

Boruuk calls back "Thanks!" as he prepares to engage the ogre. He feels the stone underneath him, the memory of his mountain home flows back into Boruuk's mind. He steels himself and draws upon the strength of his home, his people as he steps forward to do honorable combat with a truly powerful foe.

Stepping forward, the goliath answers the ogre's blow with a massive one of his own, the greataxe driving deep into its shoulder. Boruuk feels the healing energy of the Silver Flame flow into him and nearly heal the terrible blow from the ogre.

Tirial sees Boruuk's axe bite into the ogre and this emboldens her to step out of the cover of her current location. She focuses her attention on the ogre for now, ignoring the other enemies swarming their positions.

With lightning quick movements, the eladrin's bow sings in the air as a pair of arrows fly towards the large target.

Attacking with a precision, determination, and tactical skill normally not seen with monsters, the foes attack. It's almost as if they were an adventuring group instead of a bunch of motley monsters.

The Gnoll fires an arrow at Boruuk, hitting him in the leg. It smiles a toothy grin but doesn't say anything. Fortunately Boruuk knew how to angle his body to minimize the impact.

Out of nowhere, another foe appears. This time, it's a Bugbear heading around the corner for Artemus. Can this group of foes get any stranger? Obviously, someone doesn't want the party to investigate. The Bugbear is in Hide armor and carrying a morningstar two handed. Fortunately, it does not yet get an attack in.

The Hobgoblin moves forward. A bolt of pure energy flies out of it's staff, knocking Boruuk away with its force.

The Ogre bellows in pain "AAARRR" from the two arrows. It takes a step forward and grabs its club with both hands. Ignoring Boruuk, it smashes Tirial instead.

The Dragonborn ducks under Hasifar's bolt and then merely grunts as Artemus connects with his dagger. "Wait your turn. Spellslingers first." the Dragonborn says as it rushes past. It moves up next to Knoepf, opening itself to Hasifar. But instead of attacking Knoepf, it attacks Hasifar who just steps aside of the blow in time. Frustrated by its miss, the Dragonborn takes another swing at Hasifar and connects weakly. "Ha. Got ya that time."

Following the Dragonborn's lead, the Orc is not impressed with Artemus' little dagger. Its got a greataxe. It moves around Artemus, setting up flank with the Bugbear. Swinging at Artemus with the massive weapon, it connects weakly. Artemus is a bit surprised that the attack wasn't more serious.

I'm tempted to use my ap here, but I'm going to save it if and when the need for healing is more of a priority.

Also, Velmont is taking over Hasifar.

Hasifar decides to take a hit for the team and go between the two groups, risking an attack from the dragonborn. Once positionned, an aura of flame gow around him and explode to engulf the dragonborn and the Ogre. After the conflagration, the flame aura seems to linger for a time.

Artemus, stuck into the middle of the group, decide to stab the orc before moving out of the crowd and join Hasifar, and risk to get hit by his opponents.

As Hasifar lowers his guard, the Dragonborn strikes and hits his arm. Thinking he is safe as he moves away, the Dragonborn strikes and hits Hasifar a second time in the leg. Boy is this Dragonborn quick!

[sblock=OOC]
Hasifar gets hit for 6 and 11 and is bloodied

[sblock=Push]
Velmont, I think you have a typo, pushing Tirial 1 to A10. If pushed, she should be at A12.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Yeah, she is pushed to A12, the only place she can be pushed. The Ogre and Boruuk should be push too, but none of them have valide square to be pushed, so they stay on place. The other two enemies have no line of effect.

That dragonborn is pretty annoying. What about the AoO of Artemus?[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=OOC]
Boruuk is out of the range of the push.

The Dragonborn did get hit, I just didn't say it because it was pretty obvious and did not yet change it to bloodied.

Typically, I will only post during the PC's turns anything that affects the PCs unless a monster changes state (i.e. goes to bloodied, dies, etc.). If you want me to post whether each PC attacks hits or not between PC turns, I can.
[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]I meant, what about the AoO Artemus provoked. In the post with actions, there is the actions of both Hasifar and Artemus, but you seems to only have seen Hasifar actions.[/SBLOCK]

Artemus easily slashes the Orc across the chest, then makes a dash for safety. But, the Orc is not so easily distracted. It responds with a booming swing of its greataxe, sending Artemus staggering back towards Hasifar. Not to be outdone, the Bugbear hits Artemus in the back hard as well.

[sblock=Artemus]
My bad. I had read it, was interrupted by work, and then forgot. Sorry V.

Artemus gets hit by the Orc for 15 damage and by the Bugbear for 13 damage.

Artemus is bloodied and nearly down.

Wow. I have only missed once.
[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]So I suppose my Riposte Strike hit. In that acse, if the orc try to hit me again. (I put it in sblock just to be sure you choose to attack me or not without being influenced by the attack)
[SBLOCK=Riposte]Riposte on Orc (1d20+11=29, 1d4+5=8)[/SBLOCK]

And don't forget Hasifar fire aura.

Maybe it is (already) time for an healer's mercy :( [/SBLOCK]
