The Jade Frontier, part 2 (DM: THB, Judge: Lord Sessadore)

Brenwar maneuvers a bit trying to get a better angle of attack on the shadowed one, but Brenwar's ploy falls through as the shadowed one easily dodges. Brenwar utters a prayer sealing the shadowed one with a divine challenge.

Miranna stepped forward carefully, trying to time her motion to follow Brenwar's distraction. She swung her sword in a looping overhand cut, but the Shadowed One easily sidestepped her attack. Missing what should have been an easy target did little to improve her confidence, and she shivered involuntarily at the crawling shadows that tried to claw at her...

OOC:

What a total waste of a round...

Pleased to see the beserker staggering on his feet from Chey's shot, Firete swings her sword towards him. Good one, Chey! I'll finish him off! She shouts, felling the beserker and then turning and charging Bairdon. You deserve more than this, betrayer! She shouts at Bairdon, quickly turning to murmur a few words of healing at Chey.

[sblock=OOC]I want to take Bairdon alive, he has a lot to answer for. He will have 18 hp left, so likely we can down him next round.[/sblock]

Chey sends another bolt, this time at Bairdon. The dwarf staggers, but doesn't quite drop.

The cowled man lashes out at his attackers, but he is no more able to hit them than they were to hit him. He makes a sound which is part frustration, part amusement as he steps away.

Bairdon smiles grimly at Firete as he draws a hefty hammer, "I may deserve worse, but I think I'll receive greater." He punctuates his words with a swing that catches Firete in the ribs.

The remaining skeleton fires an arrow at Miranna, but it aims poorly and the projectile simply skitters across the ground.

Chey hits Bairdon for 16 damage and curses the last skeleton.

T.S.O. misses Brenwar, and then shifts a square back.

Bairdon drops his crossbow, draws a warhammer, and attacks Firete, hitting AC 25 for 10 damage. Firete is bloodied.

Skeleton 10 attacks Miranna, but misses.[/sblock]

Brenwar continues to swing his hammer at the shadowed one, but fails to connect with anything meaningful.

Miranna stepped forward again, with a growl of frustration. She swung her sword in what began as another looping cut, almost identical to her last attack- and when the cowled figure started to dodge away, Miranna stepped forward in a lunging stab, landing a solid blow which was echoed by a rumble of thunder...

OOC:
>Move: shift to I3
>Standard: attack with Booming Blade, again (vs. AC); 1d20+10= 28 (hit, for 9 damage), rolls Roll Lookup ; If the Shadowed One is adjacent to Miranna at the start of his turn and then moves away, he takes 1d6+4 thunder damage.

>End of turn: saving throw vs. ongoing; 1d20= 1 (crit fail, again); roll Roll Lookup

[sblock=Who wants a buff?]I can give someone a +2 buff next turn if they want it. Anyone feel they need one? I'm thinking either Miranna or Brenwar[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC Katana]If you can knock out Bairdon, I'd say give the buff to Chey. As a striker she'll do more damage to TSO. Once you go I'll attack. Bairdon if you miss, and the skeleton otherwise.[/sblock]
