OOC: I've finally read through the entire thread and the adventure. It will take me some time to capture the map and the creature tokens, but I hope to post a new map this evening.

OOC: I need everyone to double check their stat blocks. With the recovery of an action point, an encounter power, etc., I'd like each player to double check that their stat blocks are accurate. Thanks.

Also, I'm using Mal's system of initiative. Anyone can do their actions in any order. However, if a PC falls unconscious or is stunned, that PC's init is taken at the beginning of the PC's portion of init. In other words, an unconscious PC goes immediately and makes a death saving throw.

Also, if you want a PC to do something, please say it out loud In Character. The NPCs get to hear it when the PCs communicate (shy of telepathy).


Nyar clenches his eyes as the gargantuan stone being rushes out of his cage... then right past the band of battered adventurers. He stands jaw agape as it takes an amazing leap up the wall toward the arena tormentors.

"Am I imagining this, or is the stone guy on our side?"

He looks back across the arena at the hobgoblins and the lizardman, now eyeing the man... elemental... thing, climbing the walls of the arena.

"I think we need to slow these guys down so they don't get the big guy from behind." Nyar shouts out again, "WE HAVE NO FIGHT WITH YOU GLADIATORS! WALK AWAY AND WE BOTH WIN. IF YOU COME FORWARD, YOU FIND IT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!"

With a wave of his wand, a column of lightning bursts into creation in front of the hobgoblins.

Baern's eyes open wide at Cairn's display of athletics. The dwarf stows the two handaxes that Nyar tossed his way. He reaches behind his shoulder and pulls out the ominous looking Claw, a giant waraxe with barbs and spikes. He looks at the far opponents, taking their measure and then mutters Let them come to us if they dare.

[sblock=OOC] 3 minor actions this turn, stow 2 handaxes and draw other waraxe. Next turn I will be ready with an attack, but if Nyar or I are attacked I will use Disruptive Strike. Dalvach, come over here next to me :)

I think I figured out the milestone, it means I can use my other magic item daily now. Correct me if I am wrong...

"You don't understand how this works mage." the Hobgoblin with the Halberd yells out. He then says to his companion "Concentrate on one at a time. Kill him and then move on to the next one." By the way he handles himself and his weapon, he appears to be a very capable combatant.

Both Hobgoblins reach Dalvach and stab him quickly.

Stats


White boxes are doors or portcullises. Wavy lines are curtains. The walls are 35 ft and lined with spikes, except on the platform. That's 40 ft and lined with spikes.

Climb DC for Walls is 16. Or 10 with a rope. 22 to get over the spikes safely.


Note: Cairn could see the Changling on top of the platform, but the Changling moved out of view. Cairn now cannot see anyone on top of the platform, but they cannot see him either. Veruza saw the Changling move into the crowd, but quickly loses sight of him. Nobody else saw where the Changling moved to.


Note: I fixed the map due to Nyar's actions.

It's the PCs' turns.

Veruza makes her way up the stadium seating, rudely shoving people to move quickly. Scanning the crowd for the changeling the entire way, she was trying to formulate a plan, but was too far away to help her sister or her friends.

Unfortunately for Veruza, the Changeling was out of sight when it attempted to change shape and hide in the crowd. By the time Veruza gets to the top of the stairs, all she sees is a sea of people at the far side.
