[Adventure] The Cannith Caper (Judge: THB)

[sblock=ooc]Gark is like Talos: his at-will attack (and most of his others) knocks things prone and slides them around.

I'm good with the order and ready when everyone else is! Do I actually need to kick or can we politely push it open? :)[/sblock]
Gark approaches the door.

If you kick it open you'll likely break your foot ;) Think of a submarine door thick steel, strong locking mechanism... you can open it nice like though.

Ok, so I have everyone wants to be in front... good enough for me ;) [/sblock]

Not exactly the first line, more second row for Deimos ;)[/sblock]

Gark and company open the door, which opens inwards onto a metal catwalk. About 20 feet above you is the ceiling, and 20 feet below you is the floor of a vast room of industrial and arcane complexity. Huge, bulky devices of incomprehensible purpose abound. Yawning pits open in the steel floor. Chains dangle from above, some looping on the ground. Some of these items evince signs of life: chains ratchet upward, a device hums, and a crystal sparks fitfully.

[sblock=ooc]
You notice nothing in the room. The catwalk extends all along the wall to about CL103 then stops. A ladder is there and BZ 111 and BN114. There's a door on the east wall (BR100) & in the north one (BM 107)

Apologies about the map, it's hard with such a large room. Ok, so I've got Gark and Talos in front, Deimos and Tock next, followed by Mal and Braddock and Haltor in back (figuring White Eye can get you up front right quick).

Haltor stands up in his saddle to try to get a better look. By the Twelve. Those things are likely to kill someone. Guess we should listen at the doors: No idea where we're supposed to getting next.

Braddock steps forward, craghammer in one hand, rod in the other.

"By the gods, these Cannith blokes know how to build things big."

He concentrates on the magical energies present, attempting to not only confer the meaning of the devices, but if there are any other magical energies present.

Braddock's attempt is unsuccessful.

The "level" of these machines is higher than 5 therefore, it's too high for your result [/sblock]

Nothing gained by waiting. Too many fall that way. Move it! Taking his own cue, Haltor leads White-Eye towards the northern door to have a listen.

Tock pokes his head in the west door as other heads north, looking all around just to get a feel for the area.

[sblock=ooc]Paying particular attention to alternate ways of descending to ground level.. Ladders are so limiting ;)[/sblock]
