Ryk restrains Spring, knowing neither of them is in any shape to get close to the enemy. He moves back away and hurls his boomerang again, but controlling the angry lizard takes too much attention and his aim is poor.



(I can't tell what the turn order is supposed to be, so I'm not sure what situational bonuses apply. Without counting any.....)

STANDARD:Twin Strike vs TR - one might hit, if there are enough bonuses, for 8.
MOVE: Ryk to J8, Spring to J7

Assassination! Round 9

Bellegon takes a moment to regain his composure after his serious burns, while Crush, after his distraction saves Vok, smashes into Twinrose's arm. The addled khoravar stands and manages to strike the construct, weakening it further. The confusion of the battle is too much for Rikka, whose shot goes wide, while the halfling's assault is absorbed harmlessly by the iron construction.

Twinrose spits at Crush, but otherwise ignores him, focuses as he was on her revenge. Weaving through attacks, she presses ir'Haran. She orders her construct away to harass the Lord, which it does by barking and nipping, though not really attacking. The distraction is enough for Twinrose to strike when his back is turned, causing a consternated yelp.

[Twinrose moves, drawing OA from Crush (and maybe Ryk): Please make them. She readies. IR uses Aid Another on TR's attack (not an attack, so Challenge doesn't strike) then shifts, triggering TR's ready. She hits for 6]

The Lord attempts to counterattack, but the pain in his back causes him to seize, and the construct easily dodges the blow.

Rikka gave a soft growl- instead of reaching for another arrow, she drew her totem from her belt. With a swirling gesture, she tried to call upon the wind spirits once more, in an attempt to drive their foes away from the Lord. Her frustration was obviously hindering her concentration, though, and she raised only a chilly breeze...

Bellegon shrugs and nonchalantly moves by Twinrose woman

"Here, kitty kitty, idiot fanatic. Here chicken brain. You couldn't hit a side of a barn with those unrefined swings." taunts he as he walks by.

Coming on the other side of her, making room for Vok and Crush to close in, he waves his rod toward the woman. His eyes burn into her and her mind is wracked with visions from the Darkness Below.

Crush slashes at Twinrose as she moves away, then steps in to bash her with his shield, but the nimble Cyran dodges both attacks.

Rikka calls forth the winter's wind to try to slow down the fervent assassin, but the still smoldering flames keep it from having any affect. Bellegon slips behind Twinrose, but she does not raise the to the bait of her taunts, her monomania focusing her elsewhere. She regrets it a moment later when the dark one's spell strikes her. Dark blood flows from her ears and nose at the dark magic.

[Rikka misses; Bellegon hits (I think you added an extra +1 to hit; the Talon amulet doesn't give you a +1 on atks (just damage), so I'm not sure where it came from. Doesn't matter here). Bloodies Twinrose.]

Staggered from the attack, Twinrose stumbles into the still smoldering table. It collapses, hitting some of the flimsy decorations hanging overhead. Already scorched, they catch alight, spreading quickly through the floor. Fire is everywhere!

Crush attempts to pin the woman down, but to no avail. Vok and Ryk decide what to do.

Ryk's eyes grow wide in a momentary panic. On the Talenta Plains, fire is the one enemy that cannot be fought. When the grasses burn, the whole tribe must run, and those who can't keep up perish. He looks out to verify that an escape route is available. Then he has an idea. Rikka! Make it cold, make it snow. Put it out!. Again he hurls his boomerang at Twinrose.

(note: the map shows a bloodied ring on the ID, not TR)

STANDARD: Twin strike vs Twinrose - renaming this at-will power "Twinrose Strike". Hit twice for 12 total.
MOVE: Move 3 spaces south, off the map out of the pavilion, shout FIRE! FIRE!, and move back to original spot.
MINOR: Nature check to feel the wind and get a notion of where and how the flames are likely to spread. If this brings to mind any helpful advice for avoiding the fire, e.g. "it's spreading east" or "move south", shout it out. A 20 on the die gives me a 28!
