Anyway the premise is that we create Modern D20 characters to be the cast of an In-Character Soap Opera ...

BACKGROUND

Grandma Elly Mae Templeton-Clampett is the Matriarch of a wealthy Family who have extensive interests in Oil, Banking and Media. Since inheriting the family fortune she has made many canny investments and has shown an ability to keep her finger on the pulse especially when it comes to her Family. However she has finally retired from active management of the Family investments and spends much of her time at home. She has handed management of the Media interest over to her Cousin Jeth Bodine, and is still uncertain as to who will get the control of the Families other interests.

Beautiful and Sexy (but that's a given, like any soap star can be otherwise) she's manipulative, scheming and will do anything to get what she wants. And what she wants is access to the Templeton-Clampett empire and full control of it. Her law firm represents the family and the corporation, leaving her with much influence. She's sweet as hell to everyone, but underneath lies a viper waiting to pounce. She comes from an old samurai family, and has connections in the US and Japan.

She just recently graduated first in her class from Stanford Law School and, no stranger to ambition, is determined to be made partner in this prestigious law firm (KPS) before she's 30...maybe even before she's 27.

Her father is a criminal trial lawyer and partner in KPS and her mother is a neurosurgeon at the hospital the Templeton-Clampett’s donate heavily to. She has one younger brother who is a police detective.

Jedekiah Bodine

Jed is the son of Jethro and a girl from His hometown in Kentucky. When Mr. Drisdale found out about the baby he shipped the mother off to Australia to raise the boy. Jethro did not know he had a son. Many years passed and finally Jed (as he is called) wants to be a part of his father’s family. He has opened a Resturaunt called Eugenia’s Place that serves authentic Southern cooking with an Australian accent. He is tall and a bit on the thin side, 30+ years old and handsome. He has blond hair and brown eyes and wears glasses. He is never far from his satchel that carries his laptop, PDA and cell-phone.

Behaviors: Jed is very inviting but can get very upset when you ask about his childhood. He has a knack for cooking and while he is not the chef at Eugenia’s he very well could have trained him. Jed speaks with a very strong Australian accent and wears suits almost all the time. Even when relaxing.

Jackie, a year older than Rei Shimura, studied in Stanford Law School at the same time. He graduated the same year, taking a year longer with his studies.

Now, after unsuccesful attempts to find a job, he decides to come bunk at Rei's place. It was a given, he had dated the best friend of her roomie's sister after all.

He's family is from another city a day's drive away. He doesn't enjoy talking of his relatives.
