Sialia Doodles, Again

Trinket Box Mimic

It sings a little tune, too.

(Bandeeto says I should have labelled this one a "snuff box." This amuses him for some reason. )

Tea anyone?

I kind of love the idea of a sorceress who breeds "toy" mimics. She has them all over her boudoir. This one is named "Kato," and he likes to nest in the tea set.

Tiny mimics (tiny mimics)
In the room (in the room)
Make me happy (make me happy)
Make me feel cool (make me feel cool)

Tiny mimics (tiny mimics)
Make me warm all over
With a feeling that I'm gonna
Have them till the end of time

So here's to the golden moon
And here's to the silver sea
And mostly here's a toast
To "mouse eating tea"

So here's to the ginger lei
I give to you today
And here's a gift
That may just slink away

There's a Mini Mimic For that

Suitable for D20 Modern. Or Delta Green. Or . . what was the name of that spy game? I forgets. Anyhow, when you've got mimics on the brain, everything suddenly has a smiley side.

Y'know...if the Gnomes of Spelljammer can market Giant Space Hamsters (including the Miniature Giant Space Hamsters), why can't the Kobolds of Spelljammer sell mini-mimics?

I sense an Alien-style adventure, in which an unscrupulous Kobold Merchant (What?) sells off a litter of immature standard Mimics as adult mini-Mimics. If you get Tom Wham to do a boardgame version, it could be called Awful Cute Things From Outer Space...

Whee! Kobolds and mimics!

There was this show I sort of liked once . . . something about an interstellar trader and some harmless furry animals that turned out to be surprisingly prolific . . . I've always wanted to run a trader NPC like that . . .

You might be thinking of "The Trouble with Tribbles" from classic Star trek, and this trader was Harcourt "Harry" Fenton Mudd.

Or, if they had teeth, it was Critters (or a ripoff of it) and the traders were actually bounty hunters.
