D&D 5E 5e Version of the Mi-Go

I recently got back the illustration from the very talented Mark Helwig and thought I'd share. This is actually for my 5e superdungeon Felk Mor, but feel free to use this if you so desire. Just give credit where credit is due ;) I figure some of you Lovecraft nerds like myself might enjoy it. :D

Nice. Cool illustration, and a fun creature to include in a dungeon.

I'll put on my nit-picker hat and offer some constructive criticism on the stat block: I think the HD should be 1d8+2, rather than 1d10. 1d8 is the standard HD type for Medium-sized creatures, and the mi-go should be getting +2 due to it's Con bonus. Amusingly, this still results in average 7 hp. That's what actually brought the minor error to my attention: I saw the 1d10 HD and immediately thought: 7 hp isn't the correct value for 1d10 with no bonuses...

But, ignoring that, this is really sweet. Any 5e ideas for some other Lovecraftian creatures?

Several, actually. The Mi-Go is the only one I've pulled directly from Lovecraft, but there are several others I've come up with that have a similar theme about them. The superdungeon I mentioned above was designed to have an old school AD&D meets Lovecraft feel to it. Some of the creatures I came up with are on the cover, like the Mrav Covjeka and Mushropod (although I did pull inspiration for the mushropod from an illio from Weird Tales I saw somewhere). And of course the big guy is the main demon.
