All good. I wouldn't have heard about them about 2 months ago, then I watched part of this documentary on how Australia needed tradesmen badly after colonisation started, so when the English governments incentives program didn't work, they basically employed people to frame tradesmen for larceny worthy of the death penalty. They'd call the bow street runner, take the tradie to court where the judge would give them the ultimatum; go to Australia to work or die on British soil... 60% chose death.
Given that every single thing in Australia is poisonous, it doesn't surprise me.

Goblins! They're on my mind. You see, aesthetically, I really like the pathfinder ones, but I mostly just can't take the little munchkins seriously. If you've played pathfinder, (which somehow I imagine Shen has), you'll know what I'm talking about.

And I like the idea of modifying the little cheeky ones to make them scary, because it's such a stark difference to what you expect from them. So, as long as everyone is ok with it, imagine the attached, with the exception of the changes mentioned in the IC thread.

The same list of loot from the campaign thread. Pasting it here so we can parsel it out at our leisure while the story continues. Even if we don't end up casting any sort of vote or anything, it can at least serve as a convenient consolidated list.

(Shen's votes)
- Studded leather, thieves' guild markings, immaculate: GIVE (changed vote; my AC isn't the worst and I'm not a dedicated front-liner)
- Gold tusk/teeth: GIVE
- Elven shortsword w/scabbard: GIVE
- Thieves' tools: GIVE
- Poisoner's kit: GIVE
- Red potion x2: WANT (one)
- Clear liquid: ???
- Yellow liquid x2: ???
- Armor: GIVE (no proficiency)
- Breastplate
- Chain shirt
- Half plate (damaged)
- Shield
- Spiked shield: GIVE
[/list]

Hey guys. Trogdor knows this, he's joining up. Have you looked at the fun and joy of joining one of the "Living Pathfinder" Worlds? I know you're stepping back one edition, but man, is it fun. You create an approved character and it essentially lives in that forum, staying at an Inn, from where DM's then poach them for approved adventures. You can then run around and fight evil and chew bubblegum with friends either as a player or as DM. If a campaign goes stagnant and you stop playing, you can pull your character back to wait for another adventure. There is also a thread that is essentially a "Shop" where you roll for availability of any item you want under 25,000gp and if you're successful, you can buy it. Anything over that amount, the rules change. If you come along, perhaps we will do battle together! Though fair warning, my Wizard conjurer is crazy and immature and needs to get a life.....

Unfortunately, while Pathfinder has a lot of elements that seem cool, when I look at the mechanics all I see is this. But it's a good opportunity, maybe I'll get to it if I find a builder and some time to study rules.

Been playing in living pathfinder for almost a Month now actually. Pathfinder does indeed have a character builder that I cannot remember the name of, and they provide the sheet when you upload your character to the wiki. But pathfinder is basically a repackaged 3.5 so the rules are close enough to what I'm used to.

Macv12, I completely missed that Shen wears light armor as well. I didn’t realize the UA Ranger lost Medium proficiency. That’s three light armor users for the party then. We may just need to wait and see if there’s an enchantment or not to determine which character will get the most benefit.

The breastplate and chain shirt are both potential gains for Al and Isaac. I don’t know if TGG wants Al to wear armor or not though.

I get the sense that the spiked shield might have custom stats if we get it repaired that might make it extra useful for Al.

I don’t mind the extra layer of math if we want to value the items and have people ‘purchase’ them to keep everything even, but I’m also fine with just treating each other like a team and giving stuff to the best person for it.

  • - Studded leather, thieves' guild markings, immaculate: WANT (Tentatively, I was saving up for some armor anyway)
    - Gold tusk/teeth: - (I’m intending to bury the remains. I may be the type of character that would pry gold teeth out of a skull, but not from a fallen guild member. I’ll still take his stuff because he doesn’t need it, but I won’t desecrate the corpse by prying teeth out)
    - Elven shortsword w/scabbard: GIVE
    - Thieves' tools: GIVE (I’m thinking we give this to the poisoner we’re getting out, unless someone is proficient and doesn’t have a set)
    - Poisoner's kit: GIVE (same as thieves’ tools)
    - Red potion x2: GIVE (We’re pretty sure these are health potions, right?)
    - Clear liquid: ???
    - Yellow liquid x2: ???
    - Armor: GIVE
    - Breastplate
    - Chain shirt
    - Half plate (damaged)
    - Shield
    - Spiked shield: GIVE

As for LPF, I'll look into it. I'm a little like Macv12 where I'm a little intimidated by the complexity of the rules. I haven't played any 3.5 in more than 10 years. I have been thinking that I should DM a game for the forum though. I figure if you're adding to the player population you should also add to the DM side as well. I'll let you guys know if I make that leap. I'm not sure what kind of game I would run (except that it would be 5E).
