Liutbrand hides a grin, then pats Alara on the back "Well done. As amusing as that situation was, we didn't need to attract further attention".

Ogham peers over Rotom's shoulders -- well, more like over her head, but he studies how she attempts to open the panel. The warforged seems completely undisturbed by the women who just left because of him.

Rotom got the secret panel opened easily. Inside she saw a collection of dragonshards and wires that she knew would control the movement of the lift.

You find a loose wire, and a dragonshard with an empty hole in it. Putting the wire in the hole causes the lift to move down, and it can’t be recalled anywhere else while the wire is connected.

Ultimate: Figure out what’s going on in Lower Sharn. (25 gp each)

The lift seems to descend forever into the belly of Sharn. Several minutes pass as the lift rattles and shakes, as if passing into some place it was not meant to go. This rumbling builds to a violent peak then the lift stops, and its doors open.

By the lift’s interior light, you can see into a vast, unlit cavern strewn with broken stonework from ancient buildings as far as you can see in every direction. The air is stale, and filled with dust and the scent of decay. These are the ruins of the cities atop which Sharn is built.

Ahead of you yawns a fifty-foot-diameter, ten-foot-deep pit that seems to have been intentionally dug. You hear the soft sobs of a young child coming from a wooden shed on the far side to the pit.

Goblins beat out player initiative. They rolled crap for stealth, though, so only Alara is surprised. Alara can’t take actions this turn. Once her turn has passed (she rolled top initiative!), then she can take Reactions.

As the Plumbers exited the lift, four goblins rushed out of the pit and attacked them. The others heard or saw the goblins coming, but Alara, blind from the darkness and emerging last from the lift, was caught by surprise.

One goblin rushed up on Korra, his scimitar slicing across her muscled thigh. (Korra takes 8 slashing damage). One of his companions joined him, hitting her with another cut across the belly that sent the big half-orc to the ground. (Korra takes 7 slashing damage and goes unconscious and prone.)

The third goblin charged Liutbrand, cutting the half-orc across the stomach. (Liutbrand takes 7 slashing damage). He was followed by the last goblin, who gave him a cut on the leg that left him swaying on his feet. (Liutbrand takes 7 slashing damage).

Ogham sees nothing in the dark, but he hears the sounds of battle very close by. He takes a few steps away from the group, reaches down with one hand to the ground, and the green glow within his frame increases for a moment as the warforged focuses the druidic energies from the amulet within him. A magical fire erupts on the stony ground before him, illuminating the immediate surroundings enough for him to see what's going on.

OOC: Move 15 feet, then cast Create Bonfire cantrip (a magical fire in a 5 foot radius, deals 1d8 damage (Dex negates) to creatures moving into its space; Concentration, up to 1 minute).

Leatherhead

Possibly a Idiot.
Rotom has little trouble seeing the dark on the way down. But her mind remains fixed on the mechanics of the lift rather than her surroundings. leaving the artificer ill-prepared for what happened after the goblins jumped out of the pit.

"Korra!" The young Kobold screams as she sees her companion fall in a bloody heap.

Rotom rushes to Korra's side, heedless of still threatening goblins, and places a small spider-like device on the wounded warrior.
"Irisv!" After the command word is spoken, the device injects a red liquid into Korra's stomach wound, and then jumps in itself, stitching flesh together and bringing the half-orc back into the land of the living.

OOC: Casting Cure Wounds on Korra:

Cure Wounds: 1D8+2 = [4]+2 = 6
