Various monster-y creatures

I don't think these belong in the Monsters board cause I don't have any stats for them. I just keep drawing the silly things. I'm just curious as to what other people think of them, and if I should do something more with them, like taking the time and adding stats and descs.

And yes, I'm new here, and while I'm not sure how polite it is to post art on your first couple posts, that's what I'm doing. So, hi! and umm... me draw good?

This is the last one for me. Critiques and comments would really be appreciated.

Neat stuff

All comments referencing the first pic.
I like the thing in the lower right of the, looks kinda Dire-Cougar-ish. Not sure about the six-legged thing.
First drawing I've seen of a sentient Kangaroo...
Overall much better than I can draw and, if your interested in doin stats on 'em, go for it!

Nothing impolite at all about posting art on your first posting, this is after all the art forum. So welcome to our community, I always enjoy a new addition.

These are pretty cool, I especially like the fox/deer looking beast in the lower left of the first posting.

The only major critique I'd offer up is to watch the lack of value difference between foreground and background, especially with a strong colour like green, it flattens out your image.

thanks :) and interesting point about the background Oni, I'll have to keep that in mind. and hi!

And it's not just a sentient kangaroo! it's a sentient kangroo-raptor-thingy.... :p It's a good thing genetic engineering doesn't work like it does in the movies. I'd wipe out half the country with various creatures

btw, if I decide I have something else capable of gnawing someone's limbs off, if only it wasn't just on paper (ie, new pictures I wanna show off) do I just post to this topic again?

Well several of us here keep threads to post artwork in on a regular basis. brak1, Kip the Bold, Tetsubo, and Kilmore come to mind immediately. I have one as well (links in my sig, Oni's Doodles). That said, it's not really necessary, though it's nice if you going to be posting several pieces in a short amount of time to keep it all in one place for the sake of general tidyness. Also if you wish to take advantage of it there are galleries here at ENworld to post your stuff to as well. You can find out more about that here.

Funky. Good stuff. One wonders why the displacer beast has so few cousins...

CRITIQUE (it had to happen): I personally don't like sketchy-looking work getting coloured. If you want to tighten it up, consider using inks to find 'the right line' from amongst a collection of pencil strokes (it's what I do after pencils - and there's no way in Hades that my pencils would be as neat as yours; the only reason I'm capable of earning money off my art is because I ink it). I always ink my work, everything down to idle doodles, except for sketches I just can't bear to finish, because it looks so much better when the lines are crisper - I can actually see what I've drawn. (Yes, I am that bad.)

Wow they are all cool, I'd love to see some full pictures of all of them, and if you don't mind Can I make creatures out of them.

Have you seen my post about drawing my creatures? Could you draw them?

Oni: oooh, more online gallery-ness! Despite the fact I have an Elfwood account, VCL account, and homepage, I'll look into that (I'm a shameless art whore)

s/LaSH: Critiques are totally welcomed! About colouring the rough sketch: it's not something I usually do, although the sheer speed of that style of colouring is kind of nice. I'm usually crazy enough to spend hours and hours getting a piece done, and whipping a coloured pic out in an hour is a nice change. As for inking... it's something I really don't have much practice in, which probably means I should buckle down and force myself too.

Ferret: I'm hideously horrendously bad at actually drawing stuff for other people. I tend to take ages and ages to get anything done. My muse is very picky. But if you wanna turn any of those critters into anything to throw at unsuspecting adventurers, go for it!
