D&D General MtG Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Spoiler Thread

Treasure Vault is a Artifact Land, in Standard, I can't overstate how huge this is, folks are already speculating its going to get banned.

It comes in untapped, it gives colourless mana, you can spend XX mana sacrifice it and create treasure tokens. Both spells that fetch none basic lands or artifacts from either libraries can snag this, You can you it to cast The Black Staff and next turn use The Black Staff's Walking Statues to turn it into 4/4 Creature as well. Stuff that copies artifacts can copy this spell. Its colourless so it can go into a Ugin Brawl Deck. In a Prismari Deck you can use it to help cast Prismari and then because its an artifact too, you can tap it for coloured mana to cast sorceries and instants. Creature that get buffed by the amount of Artifacts or Lands will be buffed by this. Nissa can turn this into a creature. The tokens it creates can be used to power Madga's special ability. The Xorn will give an extra treasure token when you sacrifice it. Just the tip of the iceberg.

And folks are complaining about the power level of this set, that its too low, are you kidding me.

People don't do a great job pre-judging the meta, give it time and experience.

In other news, I derped: slot 64 is still open, so Mordenkainen could well be the Planeswalker in the end. Tasha is actually another possibility, but there are already three female Planeswalkers, and WotC likes to balance representation out.

What's the teleportation circle for? Does it clear the artefact/creature of ongoing effects?
Yeah, the game treats the creature as a separate object when it enters the battlefield again, so any equipment, enchantments, counters, or other ongoing effects on the creature “fall off,” and if it has an effect that triggers when it enters the battled, that triggers again. Also, probably won’t be relevant for Teleportation Circle, but if there’s a spell or ability targeting the creature still on the stack when the creature gets exiled, that spell or ability will “fizzle” because its target isn’t there any more.

Blink abilities (the colloquial term for exiling something and then immediately returning it to the battlefield) are deceptively powerful. They don’t look like they do much of anything at a glance, but in practice they tend to be really, really useful.
