Yeah... it's sort of self-serving but...

Why, Rachel, whatever is that fascinating creature whose illustration you just shared? What amazing game product might one be able to find such a being in?
Love you, too, Ryan! <3

"In a time beyond recounting, beyond the living memory of many worlds, reality was old beyond words. And in that time between times, between the first flaring of stars and the rise of the first elves, countless animals and peoples and plants formed, rose up, and perished to the last, leaving little more than imprints in sand and stone. Such were the Nedraz."

"In their lost time they created empires and warred and sought to know all that could be known under very different stars than we now see. And with their strange sciences they sought to change the world to suit themselves, to make the beasts of the world their servants, to change the very face of the world. In time their pride grew beyond their abilities and they made a mistake that could never be forgiven."

"Most were destroyed. Their great empires burned across the world. Some fortunate few managed to sequester themselves in stone or cast their fates into other planes of existence in the hopes of salvation. Some, however, some terrible few, threw themselves forward in time itself. What will happen to the world, to all the worlds, when those few return? When the sequestering of stone ends? Only you can say."

Legend
We're got medusas, and nagas, and good old fashioned Thulsa-Doom-turning-into-a-giant-constrictor, and maybe hydras, perhaps even some sorts of dragons.

What snake and serpent monsters do you like best?
Venomous ones always seemed too nasty to use in ongoing campaigns if you didn't want a decent chance of just random death to loom.

1 HD monsters with save or die poison in B/X and AD&D. Snakes with save or ongoing con damage in 3e and Pathfinder and particularly swarm of snakes with auto poison application by the swarm moving into your square.

The model of you are probably completely OK, but you might get unlucky and be really instantly dead (regardless of level) is not a play model that I particularly like as a DM or player. 3e ability damage is a little more preferable, but con damage is often just death spiral deadly.

I tended to use constrictor snakes much more as a DM.
