What is the best chain fast food restaurant?

Almost stopped with fast food. The price difference here between fast food and decent restaurant meal is $6.

Exception would be pizza (dominoes or pizza hut) and your local fish and chips.

Cheap restaurant meal is similar in price to large McDonalds combo and a cheeseburger. I don't care about soda so......

That McDonalds meal costs more than a cheap breakfast. Same price as a breakfast burger and fries at Cafe.

Not sure if I've had McDonals this year, mum was still alive last time I had KFC (2017?), Wendy's here is crap, BK same boat as McDobalds (may have had one of them 6+ months ago).

Cou0le of local chains are just better or you can get a massive burger for sane price as Maccas combo and cheese burger.

Something like this is available locally.

They do pork, venison, lamb, beef, chicken burgers iirc.

Fish and Chip shops triple up for F&C, Chinese or burgers.

Speaking of exotic meats for burgers, there’s several places around here that do offer such things. Pretty tasty, but not all are worth the upcharge. Like camel. Camel was OK.

But most of those places are upscale fast food.

However, for a limited time, Arby’s is offering a burger with a patty roughly 1/3 each venison, elk & beef, at not much of a premium price over their usual fare. I tried it…and was happily surprised. It was one of the best things I’ve ever had at Arby’s. (Not exactly a high bar, but accurate.)

I’d definitely order it again if I’m in their business while supplies last.

There was a little place on Route 66 that had the tastiest elk burger. One of the best burgers I've ever had!

Semi standard NZ "premium: fast food burger. Brioche bun and some fancy sauce, lettuce, cheese, gherkin.

Bottom one is tater tots with cheese and truffle sauce. They're kinda amazing.

I'm traveling next week to Mississippi for a Viet-Nam reunion with my father and are looking forward to Waffle House. Hope it is as good as I remember from 30 years ago when I was in the Army in Georgia. It likely will not be the same since I'm too old now to close a night club at 2AM under the influence and pull in there before seeing who can drive past the gate guard on base.
