Few more bits of art I liked, the colossus and the spirit naga!

Regarding lore and gear, here is what the Beyond article has to say:

Habitat and Treasure

Most monster listings now provide new information about a creature's habitat and treasure to help you plan your encounters. For example, the section on centaurs provides a list of environments where centaurs could typically be found and the potential treasures that could be acquired from them.

Gear

There is also a new Gear section that appears on the stat block of creatures who possess equipment suitable for use or retrieval. This allows Dungeon Masters to easily determine what items a defeated creature might leave behind in addition to the treasure mentioned above.

Thanks to this new addition, if your Fighter wants to upgrade to Plate armor, you can pit them against a monster with this item listed in their Gear section, like the hobgoblin warlord. This ensures they’ll walk away with the gear they seek after a hard-fought victory!

Unfortunately no. Looking like I am going to have to reverse engineer them!

@Parmandur, what are your thoughts. You seem to have your finger on the pulse of these things
Pack tactics seems to have a review copy. And he says that those rules are not in the book.

Although I take everything he says with a grain of salt, I think this is something he should have right.
(He is wrong about resistance to B/P/S gone though... d4deepdive shows a statblock that has it... maybe pack tactics meant B/P/S from nonmagical weapons).

Lair actions seem to be gone. I am a bit sad about that. Having another place in the intiative order was really nice. But lairs still seem to have an effect.

Legendary actions are back. And I am glad about that.

I am looking forward to actual stablocks shown by WotC. What we have seen is mostly great.

I love the addition of goblin minions. I always had to make them up for Treasure Hunt, as regular goblins were far too powerful. I also need Orc Minions.

That is interesting. The green dragon preview they showed a few months ago didn't have them (just like the monsters in Bigby's and Planescape). They were replaced with multiple reactions. I was just getting used to multiple reaction design space! I think LA are easier to use then remembering specific triggers; however, the triggers did tell a story.

Gear should be under treasure. I don't want to look two places for that. Combat blocks should be simple, and only have combat stuff in them. Everything else can have a place outside that. /Rant

The art looks great. I will have the digital version, unsure on the print version. Already regretting buying the physical copy of the DMG, even though it's great.
