Yes, the world's most pointless poll. What's your favourite die type?

(A d2 is a coin and a d3 is a d6 so answer something weird or d6 respectively)

Rolling more than one of a dice type isn't a different dice type. 3d6s are still d6s.

The answer is definitely the d12 but also I think you turned the d10 into a second d20 in your poll there

Yep, the d12 is the best. In a pinch, it can also be a d2, a d3, a d4, and a d6. I remember seeing a (nearly) complete set of dice at a convention a few years ago---it was just a set of d12s with creative numbering.

I love the classic d6 (and it’s easily obtained for new players from board games etc) but the d4 is an unequalled caltrop, only matched by Lego pieces.

I'm actually a big fan of the d30, it feels like a d20 but with more granularity in the results.

Individually, the d12 wins. But I do appreciate the classical d6, too, and prefer it to other dice for anything with more 3 dice or more.

D6 is simple, accesible and elegant
D20 is fun, and an easy % system with 5% increments

I like the d6 in the same way I might admire a classic car. It might not be the best for all situations but there's a certain boxy beauty to it.
