Well, "champions" does have an A and an I in it. Could be WotC's term for non-human game masters.

Champions could still be Dark Sun based on the whole Gladiator arena combat of it all... Still, it seems a stretch.

They could easily pocket Dark Sun until next year if they have something equally as impactful... And I would approve if it meant more time to make a potential DS adventure get a Curse of Strahd treatment!

Something for fighter-types. Could just be a basic dungeon delve or a player supplement with more options for fighters. Could also be a gladiator thing and related to Dark Sun- I know people keep wishing for it.

I would be very disappointed if the Dark Sun community-fueled hype train stopped at gladiator station and went no further... Feels like a waste

We DID also get some revised warrior types a while back in a UA...

There isn't a single English word which hasn't had 'punk' appended to it for a TTRPG project at this stage.

I'm waiting for the inevitable punkpunk RPG genre.

That said, I've always believed that Dark Sun (and most post-Apocalyptic settings) is largely about hope with a dash of survival. The survival fuels the hope.
