Help me with The Big Picture, part 2

To be honest, I'm still working on that part. It's one of the reasons that the PCs contact in Kalamar is dead when they arrive. It gives me more time to figure out who sent them there and why, just in case I don't come up with anything before the campaign starts (in just under 4 weeks).

Help me with The Big Picture, part 2

Last week on the temporary boards, I started a thread asking for help developing The Big Picture for the campaign I am preparing to take over. The quick recap was that it would be a 1st level group from Greyhawk who is transported to Kalamar to stop an Evil Plot. The first portion of their stay...

    OT: Buffy: Expect Spoilers

I think Xander looked plenty bothered by the fact that Anya had gone back to being a vengeance demon, but he knew at that moment that a) he had a bigger problem on his hands with Willow and b) there wasn't anything he could do about it anyway. I think most important here was the fact that she...

    Famous Gamers?

On Inside The Actor's Studio, Mike Myers said he used to play D&D as a kid and his Saturday Night Live character Lothar of the Hill People was based on that. The Barenaked Ladies used to play and may still. There is a picture of them fighting over the PHB on Sean Reynolds website. At least, I...

    Your website

Our site address is listed in my Sig also. There's a lot of stuff there and it's all gaming related in some way or another. It includes not only our D&D group's campaign pages (soon to be seen as a story hour here), but also Wulf's Story Hour, reprinted with Wulf's kind permission of course.

How Is Multi-classing Working In Your Campaign? (not including PrCs)

57% It's 4 out of 7 in our group. Human Fighter 5 Dwarf Fighter 5 Halfling Monk 5 Gnome Rogue 4/ Fighter 2 Half-elf Ranger 3/ Rogue 1/ Fighter 2 Half-elf Sorcerer 3/ Fighter 2 Half-orc Bard 4/ Cleric 1 So far it seems to be working out for us really well.

GenCon real-time hotel registration now active!

It is possible as long as you don't mind staying out by the airport or on the north or west sides of Milwaukee. You'll have at least a 15 - 20 minute drive to the convention center, though.

Is Gen Con worth going to?

Indy Dates The last dates I heard (from someone on these boards, IIRC) were the end of July for 2003, then the 2nd weekend in August for 2004 - 2006. This site used to have the rumored dates, but I couldn't find them when I went looking just now. It does have alot of other good info, though...

Is Gen Con worth going to?

Indianapolis rocks! Biased or not, it's the truth! Indianapolis is easier to get to than Milwaukee from anywhere in the country (several major airline hubs, more major highways come into Indy than any other city in the country). The Indy Convention Center is frickin' HUGE. It's much bigger...

GenCon real-time hotel registration now active!

Indianapolis GenCon will be in Indianapolis starting next year. I made my pre-registrations and room reservation last night. It actually went much better than I had anticipated. WotC could be on to something here...

    [OT Super Bowl]

Amen to that! Oh god, I HATE that! It ranks right up there with such stupidness as calling the Cowboys "America's Team". They sure as heck aren't MY team.

    [OT Super Bowl]

Patriots last Super Bowl appearance was 1997. And if you think losing two is bad, just think how Buffalo must feel. They've lost 4 Super Bowls. IN A ROW! 1991-1994. Oh, and Rams in a blowout.

What will be the next Campaign Setting you try out?

Something Else We're going to be taking a break from 3E and switching to d20 Fading Suns in a few weeks. We're really looking forward to the chance for a good old fashioned space opera after over a year of D&D. It should make for a nice change of pace.

How far do you travel to game?

Double duty I'm in the "two answers" category as well. Every other Saturday I host our regular D&D sessions. On the other Saturdays, some of us usually head to our friendly local game store to hang out, shoot the crap and play CCGs (or whatever else we feel like). That's about a 30 mile...
