Yeah, it's been more of a tabloid than a newspaper for quite some time now. It's still usefull to line the cat's litter box, though.

At the risk of turning the thread into one about me, I certainly didn't assign motives to people I don't agree with. I suppose I could say "That person that's reporting every post by someone who doesn't like 4e, including posts 6 months old; including posts in threads that have been closed...

I can also add from experience all the stupid behind the scenes games people play by reporting each other, seeking to ban someone that doesn't agree with them 110%.

Then there are peoplt that are jerks. They KNOW they're jerks but throw on the innocent "What did I do? I didn't do anything wrong!" cloak when they're called out. They have no intrest in discussion, nor are they looking to get people's opinions. They are there just to spoil the fun for others...

Actually, people want more than just a place to post. Otherwise we wouldn't see "Are there gamers in my area?" posts all over the place. Same for all those "trade" threads. People are looking to connect. Making it easier do to so isn't a crime. ;)

I have to say yes, it's worth it to experience it at least once. My wife didn't understand why I loved going until I brought her- now she always wants to go. There are ways to cut costs. Room with friends (or hook up with someone from EN world or another board. :) ) Bring your own food...

I miss boxed sets. "Book for players. Book for DMs. Oh! Nice map! Another nice map! Wow, a handout!" The new folders are neat, but somehow I want more contents. Two books and a map doesn't feel enough. I want more. :)

I set all my dice on the table with all the 1's face up. The odd logic is, if I had them face up on the highest number, it wouldn't come up a second time; so if 1 is showing on all the dice, odds of a 1 rolling up are less.

I also recall a lot of arguing over the rules in 1st edition. Looks to me there's a LOT of fighting over the 4e rules, and it isn't even out yet! So, yep. Feels like D&D to me. :D

Not to be a jerk, but "C" is one square further than it should be. Using 1-1-1-1, clearly it would be IN the shaded area. 4e is counting squres, not inches. :)

No kidding! My wife has a warmage/elemental savant, and one of her class features is it turns ALL energy type spells to fire. (Her chosen theme.) But... it seems she can't turn it off. Which means when we go up against something that has fire immunity (and strangely that's what all the bad guys...

Personally, I like the large size. It gives me plenty of room to drop my own stuff in there. Old School is back in session! :D
