That's odd. I've printed several of my DDi PDF files and there wasn't any big delay (just a pause one would expect). I'm using Acrobat Reader though. I'm using a modest box with Vista and a Kodak 5100 inkjet printer.

Maptool I also use Maptool and the handy token maker from the same site. Before downloading it, I was worried that Maptool (being free) would be difficult to learn or use. It is in fact very easy to learn and use. For voice, we use my buddy's Ventrilo account which he uses primarily for WoW.

I'm confused about what is going on with 4e Forgotten Realms. Did I miss a novel or something? Where are folks finding information about FR getting massively changed. Did Elminster die? Did Cormyr blow up? Where can I go read about what happened?

Why not both? I'd keep my own 3.5 campaign going and ask them if they would like to try some one-shot 4e adventures on the side (perhaps run them through H1 or something short you make up). I bet that once some folks get to sample the game play, they may become more interested in 4e.

The game is new (and at this point not even released). More crunching goodness will be forthcoming for sure. They were indeed limited on how much can squeezed everything into 3 books. I'm sure at level 28-30, things are not going to feel so underpowered.
