Well, I'm on and off playing HoMM II & III as well as one of my favorite games Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

I am DMing Iron Heroes and we're having fun! The other DM has been doing 3.0 before he switched us to 2nd Edition in his game (which isn't too bad, I've had great times playing 2E and look forward to lots more!). We haven't switched to 3.5 or "upgraded" to it either. Only taken a few parts...

No. It is something totally different that is in the same broad niche as RPG books but it's a separate thing.

I picked 2nd edition because I started playing that one. No, THACO is NOT difficult it's just basic math. I've played every edition (IIRC) of D&D other than the white boxed set. Each edition has something to add and something to fix. Some just plain aren't worth the paper they're printed on...

I don't think I will purchase this book. I'm not too much into 4th Edition to get things other than the core books.

Meh I don't really remember reading too much of his stuff so I can't say if I like his work or not.

I for one don't enjoy seeing all the multiracial groups in RPGs. When I think multiracial I think of a half Orc or a half Dwarf or half Elf or whatever not a American Indian/Jew mix or something like that. It's different sure but something I would rather not have in my RPG games.

My choice We'll be playing 2nd Edition AD&D & Iron Heroes. My group really won't touch 4E. We'll maybe give PRPG a try if I DM it.

We use minis all the time when I DM and the vast majority of the time when the other fella DMs.

Wii is the better choice of the systems unless one is a "hardcore" console player.

Robotech RPG? Could be interesting but it's highly unlikely that it will be released anytime soon. Plus it's attached to one of the most clunky nonstreamlined rules systems that I've ever seen. Which means assuming I did get it I'd have to convert it to something that is not like pulling...

I think it's about controlling the channels that sell discs, you can't maximize profits if you have an opposing format. Remember America is a capitalist country and that means profit is what is important not compatibility.
