AFAICT, you still have the option of using Leadership instead of the Animal Friendship spell. If the awakened animal (now a magical beast) is willing to stay with you (ie: still friendly, which MotW says it remains) and you have the Leadership feat, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able...

Rapid shot applies to all ranged attacks (providing the weapon can be used multiple times in a round). A whip is considered a projectile weapon. Your analogy doesn't really work since you are comparing melee atacks to ranged attacks using a feat that only applies to ranged attacks. The...
