Andy Collins ran the adventure with the black dragon for us... maybe he threw in the black flames as a way to help the three PCs defeat the really, really tough dragon.

That's pretty much it. I was really busy with various press events and so I wasn't able to play in the 4-hour-FR adventure that I had signed up for. But, the Delves I played in were all wicked fun... granted, they were run by Chris Perkins or Andy Collins... so that could have had something to...

We had braziers with black flames... the fighter (me) ran up and tried to slam the crap out of the dragon while the ranger and the wizard put the fire out (doing something like 5d6 damage until the flames were out). I think the two other characters were able to do 5d6 damage twice each before...

Did y'all figure out that you could stomp out the fire on the braziers on the way into the dragon's chamber and do huge amounts of damage?

Saturday night, I played in a Dungeon Delve run by Chris Perkins. Chris said, "I believe that, if you get the bard right, you will have 'solved' D&D." I raised an eyebrow and asked, "So. Did you get the bard right?" He grinned and replied, "Yes."

It was very fun. So far, I am a big fan. I voted 4 because, while I "really liked" the things I got to play in, I won't have a firm opinion until I've seen everything eles 4e has to offer. However... maybe part of the "really liking" it was that all 5 delves I played in were run by Andy...
