[OT] Star Wars Episode II: AOTC - Easter Egg Hunt

That probably refers to those small nacelle-like things you stick on vehicles, supposedly making a whistling noise when you're moving that deer can hear. I have no idea whether there's any data indicating they actually work, but no one I know who has them has ever hit a deer.

    [OT] A Day Long Remembered.

Thanks for the correction, The Sigil. My copy of The Contractual Obligation Album is on vinyl, and it's been a while since I listened to it. Hopefully no one at the Geek Accreditation Board will see this thread, I just couldn't bear the shame.

    [Dragon296] Please post vehicle rules!

Then it seems I was correct to send it to Morrus. You can now find the preview blurb on the news page, at the bottom of the Dragon contents summary.

    [Dragon296] Please post vehicle rules!

Are you referring to the preview that will be in the "Thunderball Rally" game in Polyhedron #152 (Dungeon #93)? That's the July/August issue, so it may not be out untill next month (though I don't know how early subscribers get it).

    Dragon #296 arrived

With the Acolytes of the Fist, the order's central premise is "see what you want and take it." However, "...to want something you cannot or should not have is insane, and to want something that you cannot or should not have is insane, and to want something that could bring harm...to yourself or...

    Dragon #296 arrived

They handle the wurm sizes like dragons: Wurmling=small dragon, CR 5 Adult Wurm=medium-size dragon, CR 9 Greater Wurm=large dragon, CR 15 Elder Wurm=huge dragon, CR 23 Most tend towards the neutral alignments, though there are a couple of good and three evil. All but one are attached to...

    Dragon #296 arrived

...and 297 will arrive next month! Here's part of the blurb for the next issue, which will tie in with the Epic Level Handbook: "See if your character has what it takes to take on epic-level villains. Give your character an epic boost with eight new epic-level prestige classes. Discover the...

    Dragon #296 arrived

...and I just noticed it's the 26th anniversary issue. Dragons are the theme this month. Dragon Hunters: Four Foolhardy Prestige Classes, by Keith Strohm with Dragon staff. The Dragonscribe (scholar that learns to summon and bind dragons), Knight of the Scale (holy dragon slayer), Heartseeker...

    Non-D20 popular here?

I'd like to play in other systems (Godlike in particular), but the only non-D20 game I'm in is 1e AD&D. That's unlikely to change since our campaigns are the kind that don't end, we don't have much time, and gaming isn't really the main hobby for any of us. Any excess space in the schedule gets...

[Natural 20 Press] Tournaments, Taverns & Fairs now available!

Got it. Looks nice. I don't really have time to look through it more thoroughly at the moment, so have nothing informative or interesting to say about it. The acknowledgements were good, though.

Shamans (MONGOOSE) vs Shamans (GREEN RONIN) - Anyone's experience yet?

I was under the impression that Psion gave it a four as well, was there a change or is it just another damn Folie a Deaux? (edit: Board delays made that comment superfluous.) I'm probably going to have to buy both as well, though Mongoose's now seems a bit closer to what I'm looking for...

    A Detailed City?

It might not be as much as you want, but Dark Portal Games have a free download, Gateway: The City of Living Waters. It has around 14 pages of actual description plus a map of the entire city in two sizes. At some point they're planning another free download detailing the underground areas of...

    Pantheons?

I checked choice #4. Both games I'm in at the moment use all the real world pantheons from the original Deities and Demigods, as well as the nonhuman deities from there and Unearthed Arcana. One is set on a future, post cataclysmic earth, and the worshipers do tend to clump along ethnic lines...

    Poll: PDF Product Feature

The problem is, as I print them out, it keeps going through my head that "Those are really using up a lot of ink..." again and again, as each page comes out of the machine, like the steady beat of wardrums coming out of the depths. And most complaints about the ink use of PDFs have always seemed...

    D&D on trial (again)

Which side was it that brought up the issue of gaming? It would help to know if the prosecutor's were trying to make him look bad, or the defense was trying to make him look crazy, or whatever else it was that they might have been trying to do. I think people might react to assumptions about...

Do you give free and purchased products the same weight in choosing for your game?

While we're using very little so far, everything that we have incorporated or that is under serious consideration is from free products. (Just so it's clear, I'm not counting promotional excerpts of published books here.) The downloads I've purchased have been more out of curiosity, I've seldom...

    Poll: PDF Product Feature

I generally print them out double-sided, the thickness gets unwieldy otherwise. I don't like reading out of binders so I usually use a non-punch report cover while reading them or for rules I might need on occasion, and file them away the rest of the time. I also prefer there not be border art...
