The Elegance of d20 and D&D

The previous versions were far more inelegant. I happen to enjoy the clunky old system. I like the fact that there are tons of spells and feats so I can create an enemy unlike anything my players have seen before. For all of the supposed inelegance, we rarely have to stop a game to check rules.

World of Warcraft killed our gaming group!

I think we have lost one of our players to such a game. Since he played D&D much like one would play a video game, I Don't really mind that much.

[Warhammer] Is Liber Chaotica Fluff or Crunch?

Pure fluff. Basically they are an investigation into Chaos by one guy who slowly becomes mad over the course of the series. It is Fantasy based, with the 40K stuff shown as 'visions' experienced by the narrator. Definitely worth getting.

Your Favorite RPG Supplement, for any Game, Period

That was an awesome supplement. If it worked across systems it would be number one.

Any advice on running a low-magic-item campaign?

In my campaign we're running low magic items, regular casters. At level 5-6 each person in the group has ONE +1 magic item. Seems to be working just fine-I give one feat per level and apparently it evens out.

What is THE iconic Gnome Class?

I do have a guy playing a gnome rogue/bard in my current campaign. Seems to be pretty effective.

Your Favorite RPG Supplement, for any Game, Period

Top Secret/SI had a supplement called G4 File: Guns, Gadgets, and Getaway Gear that I still use to this day for D20 Modern. It had stats on all sorts of weapons, vehicles, strange gadgets, etc.

Chronicles of Essenon: Blood on Snow-updated 4/12

Day 19 The group wakes and eats breakfast. They decide to try and clear a path for the magistrate’s group, so they head out of the eastern gate. They attack the zombies hanging about the gate and easily dispatch them. As Eoghan chases one down a controller charges him. Zombies suddenly swarm...

Chronicles of Essenon: Blood on Snow-updated 4/12

Zombie Apocalypse Day 18 On the way back Fraup joins the group. Dramus slips on a patch of ice hurting his ankle and will not be joining the group on this day. By the time they return dawn is breaking. They realize that they are still faced with the problem of the child who has contracted the...

A Lecture on the Birth of Universes

As to your first question, note the following: As for the second part, I'm not sure whether or not time exists for sentient creatures native to the Immaterium, I can only state that however much of one's own subjective time one spends there, no time passes within our universe. At the very...

    Stormclad?

I'm thinking of naming a mysterious group of druidic warriors the Stormclad. I think it is an awesome name, but I'm not sure if it has been used before. It is cool enough to have been isn't it? Does anyone know if the name has been taken?

A Lecture on the Birth of Universes

OOC: I agree-there is no right or wrong answer, each DM SHOULD work these thing out to reflect the way they WANT the planes to work. btw-Immaterium=Far Realm here if you didn't know. Back in character: I will now attempt to defend my theory. One question that arises often is the origin of the...
