I don't know if this was suggested already or what, but the pcs could adventure for a time outside of the rule of the Darkelves (unless they rule everywhere on the planet) and return as powerful liberators. I think that the PCs might solve the problem on their own, since they will soon realize...

I dont see whats so far out about playing someone who has vowed to take no possessions, but hates and fears magic, Maybe like some holy zealot who feels that magic is a temptation to be resisted. Would probably be a little unbalanced hehe.

Council of the Wyrms: The classes dont really need to be converted since the new Draconomicon has info on handling such characters, which really makes the whole dragon fighter/cleric/whatever obsolete. Obsolete because you can just add class levels to dragons normally, ie gold dragon wyrmling...

It just means they can craft at super speeds, ie at like 160gp worth of material in a week. So you could outfit a small army on your own in a few weeks. It would be like a swordmaker crafting an exquisite katana in 2 weeks, or a normal longsword in a day on your off time. hehe kinda nutty.

I've heard theories that the reason that it was split into two movies is because if it was one movie it would have garnered an NC-17 rating, which would have been a pretty poor business descision.

perhaps the reason that it is so hard to adapt for every day use could explain why so many cultures with advanced magic remain in the medival ages?
