I've been listening to Avantasia's two new albums, Angel of Babylon and The Wicked Symphony. Unfortunately, I'm a bit disappointed. They're both very good, but none of the tracks have really stood out. I love the title track from the previous album, The Scarecrow, but nothing on these two albums...

Now that I have finished The Name of the Wind, I am going to read The Terror by Dan Simmons (well, when I can squeeze time in between reading for school).

I would try Pandora. You would have to build your own stations, but it might be worth your while. You could build a town station, wilderness station, battle station, and so on.

I enjoyed it. I'll continue to listen. I think the only advice I would give is to do something about the dogs. That was distracting. Other than that, it was good stuff. :cool:

I'm not quite a third of the way through it, but I'd still say it is well worth your time. I just wish the next book was out. It gets even better with A Storm of Swords, but does dip a bit in quality with A Feast for Crows. Still, the worst of ASoIaF is far better than most of the fantasy...

Actually, now that I think about it, Alfonso Cuarón (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Children of Men) would be a fine fit for The Hobbit.

Oh, I agree. I'm just trying to think of which director would be right for the job assuming the legal wrangling gets worked out. Yes, there are some talented directors out there but which one is right for this job?

I read this over on AVClub and it sucks. I was really looking forward to his vision of Middle Earth. Any other ideas for good directors on this project? I'm coming up blank at the moment.

I just saw this new pdf advertised on the front page that updates the UA incantations to Pathfinder - Incantations in Theory and Practice. I haven't read it myself, but it might be worth checking out for something like this.
