    Making your own power cards

The program I used was CorelDraw and I will be happy to post the CDR file for those with that program if anyone is interested. I'll post a blank Photoshop file of the basic card background as well for folks who want to drop their own text on top of it. Give me a day or so.

    Ranger Build

Oh, wow. I really didn't intend for my comment to turn into this. I said I was DISAPPOINTED not joining the WotC crowd can't get anything right team. Looks like the argument falls along the lines of the gamist arguments in numerous other posts. Many of the people who are for the TWF Ranger are...

    Making your own power cards

Great work, folks. I've been working on my own cards as well. They won't really benefit anyone else because I am only planning on making cards for the powers my players choose as they need them (I have no where near enough free time to attempt to make a full set at this time), but I thought I'd...

    Ranger Build

I am very disappointed to see the Ranger builds from the GAMA photo. I understand the archer build, but I fail to see why they insist on tying the Ranger to two weapon fighting. I didn't like it in 3.x either. It seemed at the time like they did it to stat out a certain Drow from their books.

    Making your own power cards

Some of my friends who attended the DDXP told me a couple of the DM's mentioned the Player Character Sheets were going to come with power cards. Reading the description from the product, I see no mention of this so I dismissed this as speculation. You have to figure that WotC will produce these...

Help me out. PoL. Why don't small towns get overrun?

My POL setting is an island. There is one "modern" walled town (which serves as a port to the outside world) and three settlements built in and around monolithic citadels built hundreds of years ago (the populace no longer has the means to build such structures). Each settlement is autonomous...

D&D 4E What place does dual wielding have in 4E?

I like that. I hope the dual wield is a general exploit and not tied to the Ranger. I didn't like the fact that Rangers were tied to bows or dual weapons with their free feats in 3.5. I understand the bow being iconic to the class, but I don't know why the other 50% of Rangers were ambidextrous...

    Nostalgia Campaigns

    I have the 1st edition AD&D books. That's what I would use.

    Griffon Island

I'm still not completely sold on 4e. Three of my players, who have been adventuring in my campaigns for over 25 years, attended the D&DXP and were... underwhelmed. I know, I know - it was a delve, it revealed only basic mechanics, etc. None of that is the subject of this post. I am holding out...

    Charges and OA's

That's why I was wondering what they meant. If the movement provokes the charge, it seemed unnecessary to state it that way.

    Charges and OA's

The quickplay rules state that "Charging provokes opportunity attacks." Does this mean the target of said charge gets an opportunity attack or simply that the movement part of the charge provokes OA's as normal (i.e. charging out of a threatened square to attack a different target, etc)?

    D&D 4E If Not 4e, Then...

I've actually been thinking of running a Runequest campaign, though not in any sort of protest against 4e - just been feeling nostalgic. I have the first three 4e books on pre-order, though I'm not sure at this point they will become the new staple for my campaigns. If the group doesn't like 4e...

    D&D 4E DDXP 4E Rules Appendix

Here's a vanilla PDF of the sheets I made up. I was going to make a fancy version, but I figured folks would like one that prints without wasting lots of ink. Edit: Sorry, Withak! Didn't realize you already posted a PDF!

    D&D 4E 4e Island

That's the general idea. I'm using the fluff to save some time. While the island won't be large enough to be the site of the lost Dragonborn empire, I have decided that it was an outpost. There will be ruins from the Empire and possibly degenerate descendants - caveman equivalents of Dragonborn...

    D&D 4E 4e Island

    D&D 4E 4e Island

Obviously I can do that, but then I'm down to six core races. I know gnomes and the like are in the MM, but they certainly won't be presented with the all of the advanced racial powers that we've heard about - at least not in the detail of those in the PHB. I also understand that druids and...

    D&D 4E 4e Island

My group met for our regular weekly game tonight. Three of the players participated in the XP weekend. One is still on the fence, but the other two did not like the game. I have to say from what I've read, I don't think I'm going to like it either. I still intend to buy the first three books...
