Is a Shadowrun Conversion to 5e D&D even viable?

I like this idea. Something like this wouldn't be Shadowrun after all, but it could still Shadowrun-esque cyberpunk D&D game. I could live with that. I also like the idea of using optional rules from the D&D books to make it deadlier and harder to heal. That goes with the setting very nicely...

    What feats are "missing"?

but the Eldritch Knight can't cast spells through his arrows, right, unless I'm missing something. That's still not quite the same.

Is a Shadowrun Conversion to 5e D&D even viable?

A lot of great replies. I really appreciate it. I figured it would probably be a bad idea. I guess for me I was trying to avoid having my group have to learn a new system at all. They really like 5e and I have some serious newbies so switching to a new system might be a bit much to ask. I get...

Is a Shadowrun Conversion to 5e D&D even viable?

I wasn't sure where to put this since I don't have any actual conversion material or anything to share. I don't even know why I would want to bite off a project like this but do you think it would be viable to create a conversion to 5e D&D for Shadowrun? The reason I ask is I've always been...

D&D 5E So, thoughts on the Paladin now?

The paladin in our group is having a great time. His damage output can top pretty high when he uses divine smite and he's still a capable healer and meatshield. He's a little like a better version of the 3e Bard, a sort of jack of all trades who can hold his own.

    New Rogue Sublass: Gunslinger

I based it on the Pathfinder class, which is why it's called Grit, but now that you mention it Grit Dice might be better. As for firearms they really only do that deafened effect if you fire them in enclosed spaces (like a small cave). It's not meant to happen every time you fire the gun. I...

    New Rogue Sublass: Gunslinger

I have just uploaded New Rogue Subclass: Gunslinger to the downloads area. I have no idea how balanced this is against the other subclasses of the rogue. Just throwing that out there. Obviously in order to use this class you also need firearms in your game and the class is designed to work with...

    What feats are "missing"?

There were feats in the playtest that I wish had stayed in the game. One in particular that I miss was a feat called Arcane Archer that basically replicated the Arcane Archer prestige class. I thought it was a great way to do prestige classes and a really fun feat. I don't know why it was left...

    New Class: Gadgeteer

I'm thinking about adding two new subclasses/signature inventions for the Gadgeteer. One is a Clanker Companion (Clankers are basically robots). That would work just like the Ranger's animal companion. I'm just worried because people have been saying it's so weak. I also want to add a Spark...

    New Class: Alchemist

I've actually converted the Gunslinger already, but as a Rogue subclass. I'll post it when I get chance. Glad you like the Alchemist.

    New Class: Gadgeteer

No, that's after an update although I might be getting the crit rules wrong. I thought it was when you score a critical hit you roll the weapons damage twice and add them all together and then add modifier. This would just add 1 more dice to that.

    New Class: Alchemist

I thought about adding a component cost to each item but that felt too much like charging them for each power. Wizards may have some material component costs (which they can mostly wave) but not even every spell has that.
