There are multiple special materials in MAGIC OF FAERUN, from ones that have minor auras of heat and cold (do an additional 1 pt of cold or fire damage, cannot be imbued with the opposing elemental energy abilities) plus several others.

How about the heirophant? While you don't continue to gain spellpower, a dip into this class could get you faith healing (heal spells to those sharing your alignment (or, as I run it, your actual patron deity) are treated as maximized for free. Or Divine Reach, using Touch spells on targets...

If Complete Mage is in use in the campaign, possibly a reserve feat might be worth looking at? I don't recall if any are useful at 3rd level or not...

Some of the threads I've read here seem to imply that medium and heavy armor made out of mithral is enough for a character to wear it. What I mean by this is like in the current thread for the duskblade, there is a reference to mithral full plate being medium armor, and thus the duskblade...

My read is that the Incantatrix gets the abiliity for the item's she has the feats for. A non-incantatrix can take the feat, but it requires the correct feat AND the correct skill ranks.

Targeted creatures are affected regardless of weight.

The grey render is very similar in concept to a monster that appeared in the FR Boxed Set Ruins of Zhentil Keep, but I don't recall specifically what it was called, maybe the mage render? Something like that, I think....
