Cool things you remember from some setting of choice

Can I say "Planescape" and "all of it" and still be considered to be answering the question? ;) Ok, if I have to narrow it down. I've got a personal fondness for the diefic realm of Chronepsis on the Outlands. Astral spell-addiction rules have been hilarious to see in the game. And I adore how...

    Looking for a unique setting

You missed one... http://www.planewalker.com The sages and grey beards say, that there used to be a time when nothing existed. Everything floated in a void of potential, something simular to what we would call the etherial plane, and nothing existed, save burning bejeweled Sigil. A hidden...

Ah Hah! Then I shall hush and not spoil anything for you. :) I think you'll enjoy where the story goes from there.

Ok, granted - I'll agree with starting at NE and shifting to TN as he matures. ;)

Sawyer? Nuetral. Probably TN even. As covered before, breaking the law doesn't make you chaotic - you can still be a fairly orderly personality and be a criminal. He hates himself for being so good at the con, and even has cons he just *won't* do, so evil doesn't seem to apply entirely either...

Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss

    Sounds like a plan. :)

Pick your favorite: Demon, Devil or Yugoloth

    You'd like the Erinyes then.

Hm. Mal's pretty dynamic throughout the series, he's hard to pin down. After finding out abut the Pax I'd put him firmly on CG - he improvises too much to be said to be going about his new war in an orderly fashion. Previous to the Battle of Serenity I'd say CG, as an idealist. I'd honestly...

... *blink* Nyarlathotep? The Crawling Chaos of a Thousand Masks? He's openly manipulative and corrupting, there's no 'N' in there. That's C to the E. Azathoth, or Abhoth, or even Shub would be more CN I'd think.

Pick your favorite: Demon, Devil or Yugoloth

I think I'm required by 'DM will mercilessly slay PC' rules to vote Yugoloth. But I'll admit to a wistful fondness for Ancient Baatorians and Baatezu. ;)

I've always felt a better word for the concept of a lawful alignment is an "orderly" alignment. It's not the outside influence of laws (and ignoring or not ignoring them) that makes the difference, but an internal way of thinking and approaching a problem. Calling it lawful just seems to attach...

Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss

Hey Erik, James - could Planewalker do an interview then if WotC hasn't yet and wouldn't object?

Ambient selfishness ("Are we gettin' paid for this?") combined with bloodthirsty enjoyment of violence ("... she *has* a name! I call her Vera..."). And let's be honest - if Mal weren't there and Jayne weren't scared of him? He'd probably have betrayed them more than once. Jayne is a great...

I would have put Jayne as a little more on the NE or CE side of things. He's a small E or he wouldn't still be with the crew (evil comes in a range from little to KillItKillItNow)... but he's definately more selfish and treacherous than just plain old N.

What's the most amazing start to a new campaign you've ever done?

LOL - Alternity system, own setting. (If I revisit it I'm using the Shadowrun system.) And it was about 2 yrs ago or so? They eventually talked their way out of the standoff, figured out they were in an abandoned space port where the temps were dropping low enough to make moisture condense...

What's the most amazing start to a new campaign you've ever done?

"You all suddenly become aware that you are standing in a room. You're wet. Sore. The sound of water dripping on metal echos overhead. The room is dimly lit, and you've never seen it before in your life. Looking down, you are dressed in a uniform you've never seen before either. You see a...
