    What's your favorite PHB spell?

I don't have a particular *favorite* since I tend to use a lot of different ones for different circumstances. But I remember distinctly the best use of a single spell to kill an encounter that I've ever done: Prismatic Wall. - Because ships don't have brakes.
  2. Clueless

I survived my thesis defense! w00t!

.... *chuckle* I'm just glad that he made it through with flying colors. Now he can dazzle me with chem-babble, and I can dazzle him with data-structure-babble. ;) But heck, this means I get more Time out of him now! *grin*

    Shemeska's Planescape Storyhour (Updated 29 Jan 2014)

As a rule: Tool, NIN, Vast, and Perfect Circle. Add a few touches from Disturbed and Godhead and Stabbing Westward. (We would drive cross state lines to get to a Tool concert.)

Advanced beings for other settings and races

What about advanced wizards - who *aren't* willing to become undead? Personally i'd like to see something other than the stereotypical lich.

    Every god in D&D...ever

New update: This new update takes into account over twenty new gods from Dragon #24. Unfortunately, Al still hasn't gotten a copy of Heroes of Horror, so the demigod from that is still missing.
  8. Clueless

Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss

Isn't that changing the campaign to fit your needs though? Making it non-canon material - making it custom - making it a house rule. And doesn't that - considering the debate going on right now - sort of negate the point? Last I checked this wasn't a debate on any *particular person's* house...

    Shemmy's Planescape Storyhour #2 (Updated x3 10-17-07)

This isn't as rough as what my Shadowrun DM used to do. "Here's your job - hey, you - you're playing the lead and face of this group right?" "Yeaaah..." "Here's the list of local hires. Go form your team." *sigh* Admittedly, it was fun getting one of the characters shot at to test their...

    Shemeska's Planescape Storyhour (Updated 29 Jan 2014)

Nopes! Amberblue is soon to be adopted by Clueless. ;) Technically it was Clueless going all 'Awwwww' over the little fellow, not Toras. (The others were too scared of the idea of a five year old with Wish.)

'Heroic' games and the setting of tone in games

Admittedly - I'll say flat out it *seriously* helps to have players who are willing to work with each other and really *trust* each other. Evil games can work - it just takes a lucky balance of style, characters, and players - rare but possible. I know half the reason Shemmy's asking the...

'Heroic' games and the setting of tone in games

We expect dynamic characters in my gaming group. In Shemmie's first SH, my character started off with a 'blank slate' - literally, as an amnesiac, on his character sheet under alignment was a large question mark. He swung over the campaign pretty wildly between alignments - at times whimsically...
