Moving silently when you're standing still

+10 sounds a little over the top to me. After all, that is the same as the Silent Moves armor enchantment. Spider's +5 is closer to what I would consider the mark.

    Thickness of Armor Question?

From what I understand, plate mail is large metal plates attached to chain mail which is worn over padding. It would be reasonable to assume the plates are about 1/4" thick, but the chain and padding are going to add girth the the wearer as well. I found this this...

    Deepwood Sniper

I think the Deepwood Sniper gets Keen Arrows (19-20) at 1st level. The 6th level power Keen Edge is undefined (at least in my copy of the book), and would seem a little redundant.

    Burst Weapons...

From what I understand, it would be the latter (e.g., *both* the d6 and the d10)

Most power in a game: Multiclassing?

I think a player's personal style is the most important aspect when it comes to dictating the power of pure class versus multiclass character. Someone who thinks tactically and enters combat carefully will likely be better off with a Fighter 5/Cleric 1 than a Fighter 6. Those handful of spells...

    Masterworked Unarmed Strike

I haven't seen anything in the core rules about an item like this, but in the character generator that comes with the PH it did allow you to add a magical Unarmed Strike to a character. It's a stretch, I admit, but that could be used to imply you can enchant items like gauntlets or slippers...

What's the strangest house rule you've ever heard of?

Wierdest house rule I ever heard of: All male characters have to roll for genitalia size, all female characters have to roll for bust size. I can only imagine the racial adjustment charts! (*chuckle*) Anyway, I sincerely hope that since then that particular DM has gotten a life, preferably...

    Forgotten Realms Question: Cyric?

First of all, keep in mind that most people are Neutral. A town that leans toward good would probably still consist of a mostly Neutral populace. Second, many of the evil gods can be worshipped by Good and Neutral people. Often, this worship comes simply from prayers aimed at preventing the...

    Manyshot?

I am not aware of any set AC for various challenge levels. However, your iterative attacks can be useful even if you find an opponent has an AC out of reach. For example, you can use them to Disarm, Trip, or Sunder (especially useful if you have the Improved feat related to these maneuvers)...

    Crafting items

I forgot to mention, there is always the option to add +10 DC to craft an item more quickly. It makes it a little harder to succeed, but when you do it counts for a lot more.

    Crafting items

Crafting rules are generic by necessity. Yes, it leads to a lack of realism, but the need for a (relatively) simple game mechanic often exceeds the need for realism. Because of this, addressing item crafting time on an item by item basis is simply beyond the scope of the rules. However, if...

    Cumbrous Will?

I think the various "Cumbrous" feats come from Savage Species.

    Impossible skill check?

Skill roll called for, with a DC of 25. Character has a +4 and rolls a natural 20, for a total result of 24. Does the skill check succeed by virtue of the natural 20, or fail because it missed the required DC?

Pearl of Power and other CWI suggestions

Some of the items you listed had a high caster level (like the Ioun Stone). You'll want to check which camp your DM is in (caster level *is* a requirement, or caster level *is not* a requirement; an often debated issue) The list itself had a good variety of useful items. Off the top of my...

Disarm as an attack of opportunity

I'd have to agree. After all, we're talking about a circumstance that only arises when *both* opponents specialize in taking full advantage of potential AoOs (e.g., have Combat Reflexes) *and* both have the insane urge to do things that give each other AoOs. Once you discover your opponent has...

    Does this work?

Oops. I guess it shows that I usually play spellcasters. :D

    Does this work?

From what I recall, Quick Draw makes it a Free Action to unsheathe a weapon. While this could be extrapolated to be the same for sheathing a weapon (DM call), even then unsheathing and subsequently sheathing a weapon would take two free actions. Don't you just get one Free Action per round?

reducing Book keeping for Wizards and Clerics

I find a little forethought goes a long way toward cutting down my spell list prep time (much to my fellow player's delight). I find my needs usually fit into one of four categories - City, Travel, Interrogation, or Enhancement. I have built a standard list for each of these four situations...

Anyone know what book these are from?

I just got a spellbook that contains a couple spells I don't have in any of my reference books and my DM doesn't remember which one(s) he pulled them from. They are Improved Bull's Strength and Mass Darkvision. Anyone know where they came from? Thanks in advance.
