THREAD NECROMANCY! I got a couple more Heroforge acrylic standee miniatures for upcoming chapters... a pair of general-use inquisitors (I use a bearskin cowl & cloak instead of a skull mask, because you just can't do that with Hero Forge yet), and the core members of Clan Mellorn!

As the second wave of forces approaches, the party braces for a new wave of attacks, when an Androsphinx unexpectedly appears above them! With a roar, the allied forces are sent into disarray, with several allies cowering in fear, or fleeing entirely. Order is restored fairly quickly, though...

The battle against the mage is frantic, but fast action by the crew limits his involvement. The Sphinx roars into action, and attempts to carry Kelkin out of danger, but a timely polymorph manages to put her out of action. In desperation, the team collects the wizard's body, then races back...

The two main recommendations I have for this particular version of the campaign... The Androsphinx has to be visible. Maybe it waits until it's over Gallo's forces before it drops invisibility and roars, but if it's not visible, its fear effect has no teeth behind it. After that, it books it...

For the record, the players were all rather pleased with their surprise gifts. :)

While running through Adventure 4 (The Mad King's Banquet), I came across an element in the battle of Otharil Vale, that simply doesn't work in 5e. An invisible Androsphinx roars, sending troops scattering in fear... except for all the reasons they wouldn't: A creature under the "frightened"...

I also went a LIIIIIITTLE overboard, and got more charms to make more medals for various purposes. I'm wondering if there are any other honors that could be achieved in the campaign, that some these would be suitable for? Any ideas or suggestions? Compass - perhaps Seaquen? Sun & Moon -...

Completed the medals. The charms were smaller than I'd prefer, but I think they work well enough!

Planning for the night missions, the team decides to take on the catapults first. Their two stealthiest members sneak from the dwarf-dug tunnel under cover of invisibility, creeping across the snow on foot and by broom, and steadily dismantling key components of the siege weapons. It's a close...

Yup... the Living Blade is a piece of the First Tree, which is bound to the entire forest of Innenotdar. Everything is connected... Indomitability is bound to the Sword as long as he remains impaled. The Sword is literally a living branch of the First Tree. The First Tree sustains the forest...

Side note... if Anyariel's Blade remains lodged in the beast, then in theory, he's still bound to the forest (through the blade), and the forest still burns. If a fight happens, AND the blade remains in him, AND the heroes start gaining the upper hand... Indomitability might instead flee into...
