I'm sick of the arcane power source altogether. Where is the love for the nonDruid nonBarbarian primal classes? Seeker, Shaman, Warden? Remember them? or how about that Avenger and Invoker? Those guys are pretty cool, am I right? But dear god no we need another wizard build. Definitely.

I sorta wish that we'd gotten a lot of these books at the start of the 4E run (and themes) instead of what we actually got. The Heroes of X books would've been great right off the scotch. Instead we got builds and monster books that aren't really useable anymore. Bleh.

WotC will have to kill Pathfinder in order to make DnDN to succeed. For every 4E player that makes the leap to 5E, there will be one who makes the leap to Pathfinder. And most Pathfinder fans (judging by their forums) won't be switching over either.

I don't like them. I hope if this is the default method that they have an alternate system for them out at release or soon after...

Warlords are freaking awesome.

Dragonborn are a pretty popular choice for newer players in 4E around here. A lot of people ask to play as one (even in my Pathfinder games!) I know a lot of them would be upset if they were told they couldn't play as one. I really hope they keep Dragonborn as a core race.

That actually tickles my fancy quite a bit lol. I wouldn't mind playing in such a game. And please don't start telling people what D&D is or isn't. That's the kind of stuff that's caused the fragmentation of the hobby in the first place.

I'm starting an Eberron game this Sunday and I'm going to try and run it from levels 1 - 30. We'll see how it goes. If 5E is worth anything we might switch halfway through but I doubt it will be so...

4E was already a danger of fragmentation. 5E is the mine and WotC is standing on the mine. Be careful where you place your next step.

I have to agree with the OP. It's getting frustrating. The worst part of it all is that I can't trust WotC anymore. Are they already planning a 6E? When does it stop? I'm not getting off the treadmill yet. I'm going to wait until I see what WotC is cooking up, but I won't be buying any of their...

That really doesn't answer my question. We really want them to be good monks so I'm guess a Dex/Wis or Str stat spread would be ideal.
