    Transhuman Space

My biggest gripe with THS is that the template rules for creating characters are truly bletcherous. They simply don't fit the setting. But that's GURPS' fault not Pulver's, and if you won't be using the default rules it won't be a problem.

Rules on what actually is involved in casting a spell.

    Transhuman Space

I have the hardback and the rules are complete, but a bit patchy. The setting section often refers to rules than are not included in the back.

    Honor Harrington

That was one of my turn-offs - it just seemed to contrived to me. But then, I'm a hard sci-fi fan. Other thing I didn't like about them is that Honor seems just too flawless - she's always professional and noble and accurate and her risks and wild guesses always pay off. Only read the first two...

[ENboards Boston Feng Shui Game] Six in the Chamber II: HONG KONG BLOODBATH -UPDATED!

I knew it! :) Good floor shows this restaurant has. I bet he'll get twice the business when he reopens. :)

[ENboards Boston Feng Shui Game] Six in the Chamber II: HONG KONG BLOODBATH -UPDATED!

I wasn't counting a video of an explosion. But I'm almost certain that something involving the gas cylinders in the kitchen is going to happen in this upcoming combat :) I mean, Chef Tzo likes blowing things up, he doesn't like this restaurant... (My comment was referring to the fact that...

[ENboards Boston Feng Shui Game] Six in the Chamber II: HONG KONG BLOODBATH -UPDATED!

Almost ten minutes into the film and we haven't even had one explosion yet...

    Battle Mat

I put book covering plastic over an old Go board I had lying around. It's a little small but seems to work well, and if it starts getting marked up I can always replace the plastic.

Developing new paladin PrCs for Piratecat's game: come see the result! (updated 1/28)

Who's got that slab of Paladin PrCs posted by Carpe DM (Or CarpeDM? Can't remember) a while ago? Cool classes like the Kreuzritter or Harbinger.

    Critique of two items

Moccasins: Spell is Quickened Dimension Door (8th level), minimum caster level of 15, use activacted. = 288,000 gp for the movement ability. The other looks kinda like Blink, so (5*3*2000) = 30,000, doubled for second ability, for a total ballpark figure of about 350,000 gp.

Dang it - I just learned something new about gaze attacks!

An 'attack action' is simply an attack, EG +6/+1. Like for the Trip and Disarm options. Can you use Rapid Shot with gaze attacks? And perhaps Two Weapon Fighting (two eyes)?

    Revising Spells? What about Fireball!!!

I know who SOAPMan is and I'm familiar with blind kobolds, but I don't know where rakes come into it. Are they an alternative to french bread?

Anyone have effective closet gamer detection methods?

I saw a guy walking around in a 'Miskatonic University' t-shirt. That would work I think.

    Salt Flats

Depends how picky you are I guess. You could refine it by recrystallisation, or use it as is if you don't mind a certain amount of 'flavour'.

    Salt Flats

Salt was often valuable in the ancient world. Mining it would make a good trade commodity.

    Removing scars

A painful but probably working method would be to re-open the wound/cut off the scarred tissue and magically heal that.
