Boots of the battlecharger (MIC), 3/day. ;)

    monk weapons

With any luck, your DM will let you acquire the necklace of natural weapons (savage species), letting you add enhancements to your fists, making monk weapons useless for most part. BTW, which monk weapons allow reach?

Characters with Pounce! ALSO: Fair price for Pounce?

Which was a problematic restriction to begin with. When you consider that at higher lvs, a spellcaster can easily cast a high lv spell, follow up with a quickened spell and still move, being limited to just a single attack after moving is just too debilitating for a fighter. ;)

Do you always put your stat bumps in your two highest stats?

I think this assumption also depends on the character. It seems most applicable to classes with only 2 key stats. Take for instance a half-orc brutal scoundrel rogue. A typical player would likely start off with 16s in both str and dex (so that he starts with 18 str/dex), 12-13 in con and leave...

Characters with Pounce! ALSO: Fair price for Pounce?

You are also forgetting that depending on the foe, dr may apply up to 4 times. 5d6 averages 18 damage, dr10 easily halves your damage output if you lack the appropriate weapon. Conversely, chargers or ToB martial adepts typically make 1 attack per round for massive damage, so dr applies only...

    Help with a Gish build

It also sucks if you do not plan on taking more than 1 lv of fighter. Well, you could start with wizard and take your fighter lv only at 5th lv. So you would simply play as a typical wizard all the way. This also lets you max out your key wiz skills such as concentration that much more easily.

    New Errata/Updates at Wotc

I like how they at least included a sentence explaining the rationale behind the errata. :) Never thought they would actually get around to divine miracle...

Does caster know the duration of her Time Stop?

You can't extend time stop any more than you can persist it (which you can't), since time stop doesn't have an actual duration. So an empowered timestop gives 3-7 rounds, while maximized time stop gives 5 rounds. Do both for 6-7 rounds or intensify it for a solid 10 rounds.:D

"If this problem is so bad, why aren't YOU doing it, NPC?"

How is it that a simply hobbit was able to resist the taint of the ring far longer than him? The answer I have to that is that even high lv npcs only have so much time and resources to take care of so many problems that for the rest, they need to outsource. At any one time, there are easily...

Characters with Pounce! ALSO: Fair price for Pounce?

My guess is that wotc themselves can't decide what exactly it should be worth either. Pounce was initially an epic feat (implying that it was originally believed to be very powerful), now a class feature (so it is not that game breaking as previously envisioned?). You would have to be lv18 to...

D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 - mmiv why do people not like it

Overall, I felt that the monsters in MM4 were quite dull. I didn't really care much for the dragonspawn, the classed npcs were uninspiring (do I really need you to tell me how to stat up an orb barb?) The rest of the monsters didn't have any interesting abilities. I thought MM5 summed it up...

Characters with Pounce! ALSO: Fair price for Pounce?

MIC does have a few magic items which allow the wearer to move as a swift action (thus still allowing him to make a full attack).

    Mid Level Blaster Options?

You are right, a focused specialist ends up getting 1 more slot per lv than a specialist wizard. The drawbacks are that you ban another school, and since a bulk of your slots consist of specialist bonus slots, this limits the variety of spells you can prepare (for instance, a 1st lv focused...

    Mid Level Blaster Options?

I am actually quite a fan of focused specialist. In actual gameplay, I found that knowing so many spells is not as big a deal as it appears to be when I have only so few slots to prepare spells with (that and I tend to favour a few select spells). So I don't mind effectively giving up 3 schools...

High level evil cleric, sorcerer and psion working together

How so? I think they will still fold in 1 hit. They get like +5hp, +3AC, useless wings/SLAs/natural attacks/dr... I think you need better bodyguards, not more bodyguards. ;)

High level evil cleric, sorcerer and psion working together

Imbued summoning is in PHB2. +1 metamagic feat, applied to a spell of up to 3rd lv. Is cast on the summoned creature at the time you summon it. I wouldn't use ogre magi - too weak and fragile, IMO. What are you going to do about defense, by the way? NPC spellcasters can be very strong, but...

High level evil cleric, sorcerer and psion working together

Well, there is always the tried and tested tactic of mazing the cleric and forcecaging the fighter. Since you are using greater arcane fusion, this can be extended to hitting the fighter with dimensional anchor followed by forcecage, followed by an extended? maze (if only to increase its casting...

    The Essentials articles are atrocious.

Then you will have to credit CO for their creativity and ability to think outside the box, being able to turn what should have been a defensive ability into an offensive power. But seriously, does it really matter how a class is "supposed" to be played?
