    Baldur's Gate I & II mods

Now that I have this fancy Athlon X2 rig with SLI, I find myself wanting to play old school games, and I've come back to this one. What are the best mods for BG II? I've looked at the list of mods out there, and it looks rather daunting. Hope someone can help me find the good ones. Thanks...

    Campaign Wiki

I built my own Mediawiki and hosted it on my work machine, but it's nothing spectacular, as it's still getting content added to it. I like it quite a bit, very easy to maintain.

    Post-Apocalyptic Fiction?

Two good calls. How could I have forgotten World War Z on my list? It's one of the best books I've read this year.

[May] What are you listening to?

This years crop of really good Prog rock and metal. Threshold -- Dead Reckoning (with this track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qw1M-e0CeQ) Redemption -- The Origins of Ruin and Porcupine Tree -- Fear of a Blank Planet (with this track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMBMCB2YeGM) It's been a...

    Post-Apocalyptic Fiction?

I like reading end of the world books. I tend to go through them like candy...all types. Here's a couple I've read recently. Swan Song by Robert McCammon is very King like (and King-lite) but a pretty good read. There's the first couple books in the Legacy of the Aldentata series by John...

Pathfinder 1E Paizo no longer publishing Dungeon and Dragon

I think the one thing I find most shocking about this is the lack on any presence by WotC on this. Josh and James have been all over this thread. I go over to the Wizards forums, and there isn't any posts by any Wizards rep about their part in this. Why in the heck would you have a press...

    [April] What are you reading?

Just started on The Virtues of War by Steven Pressfield (liked Gates of Fire a lot), and this one is a good read. I have Shadowmarch and Shadowplay by Tad Williams on the back burner, and just got Book 9 of Dresden Files in from the library, can't wait to start reading!

Dresden Files - Things that Go Bump

Yeah, but I'm really disgusted with how they are showing episodes out of order. I think it would have been better if they had shown all of the episodes in order, rather than do it this way. This episode felt like it was the 4th or 5th episode to be shown, IMO. Stupid Sci fi.

    An unfinished Orcus Avatar

Use the aspect of Orcus from Minis Handbook and bump him up a few HD?

    Hugo nominees

Both Rainbow's End and Glasshouse are excellent tales. I'll have to go read the others before I decide which should win in my eyes, but I really liked what I've read so far. Rainbow's End, in particular is a great, great, book.

give me your over-arching plots NOW!!! please :)

I'm just starting the second phase of my 1-2x level game. (My players shouldn't be reading this either) Set in my version Forgotten Realms Old Empires. After helping the deity Enlil regain his divinity(and helps Assuran maintain his) duing the Time of Troubles, the party watches as a reunited...

Star Trek Federation Ships Achilles Heel

To add to other people's stated reasons, it's also appears that there are a second layer of shields that protect the bridge area when the ship goes to Yellow Alert (as seen in the second movie, as Reliant approaches).

    [March] What are you reading?

Far too many books to read (all checked out from the library): Hells gate and Hell Hath no Fury by David Weber and Linda Evans (starting Hell's gate, so far so good, like it so far) Books 3-7 of The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher (I love these books so far, great stuff) Gates of Fire and...

    favorits

Some very solid metal there. I've really been getting into Sonata Arctica's latest (Reckoning Night) again lately. I can't wait for their next CD to come out. I hope its more like Reckoning Night than the one before that. That music is making its way back to the US though, Hammerfall is...

    Curt Schilling and R.A. Salvatore.

I am amused. Note this exchange from Curt Schilling (a Hall of Fame baseball pitcher in the American Major Leagues, plays for the Boston Red Sox) on his weblog(Schilling's 38 Studios is working on an MMO for release): http://38pitches.com/2007/03/21/q-a-vi/ Q-Fan of R.A.’s? Read his books...

Lead-in to Cormyr: Tearing of the Weave

You could also convert the Haunted Halls of Eveningstar to 3.5 and do that as a lead in to Cormyr. You could pretty much drop anything into Haunted Halls and use the framework as a nice lead in.

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--3/18/07--Arc 18(19)

Well, if they are all cylon's, then D'Anna's comment when she saw one of the final five in the vision in the Temple certainly does make sense. The problem I have with the ends of the seasons (both last season and this season) is that people act so out of character to bring about the changes...

EN World 2007 fantasy baseball league

Sorry, I had to bail on the league, I was hoping to stay in, but I already have 4 team committments from friends, and had to drop a league (only 4 free teams, what kind of crap is that?)

    Metalheads! Confess & Brag

I'm into both metal and Prog rock. My wife and I have an extensive collection that includes the following bands: Dream Theater (the band that brought us together), Angra(the best band that Brazil has to offer), Queensryche, Iron Maiden, Therion, Rage, Nightwish, Morgana LeFay(best thrash...
