I dimly recall seeing somewhere that Quickened spells do not require components. Or maybe my brain is totally looping. I can't picture how a Quickened V, S, M spell would work. Am I one card short of a full deck, or is this written somewhere? I can't find it... Andargor

First, this is a Readied Action, totally different from Contingency. Second, you have to specify an action to trigger your readied action. "If he gets hit by the giant" is not an action, however "if he's attacked in melee by the giant" is. So he would be dead. Andargor

I assume you mean dispel the spell. Good question, no indication in the description. From precendents: I would say everyone is ejected. By a mean spirited DM could leave them in the Astral Plane, since the spell itself doesn't really say. :) Andargor

Just to be clear, I assume you are talking about non-Epic PrCs which can be extended past 10th level once the character becomes Epic. Eg. Loremaster 11th OK, Archmage 6th not OK. As opposed to the Perfect Wight which is a "pure" Epic PrC. Andargor
